Those sites are not down because I've been accessing them all today until this very minute. Perhaps there's a problem with your network or firewall or something. Perhaps it's a virus.

Have you asked your friends in your area if they are having troubles as well? If the problem is isolated to you, I'd suggest you do some virus scan or perhaps installing the softwares like firefox or explorer (whatever you're using) to see if the bug would be fixed. Otherwise, try reformatting.

But of course, try to assess first if the problem is isolated to you alone. But on my end, there's nothing wrong with those sites because I am able to access them properly without delay.

I think your security system is obstructing such sites to open. Just check security settings and fire wall settings.

Gmail and yahoo are not down because, I was going back and forth, on these web sites all day yesterday check my e-mail, so they were up and running for me, I didn';t have any problem with either one, of these web sites.

What is the browser you are using?Did you change the browser recently? Did you make any changes in the settings of the browser? If so, try to uninstall the browser and reinstall it.After uninstalling the browser, restart the the system, If you have installed any beta version the firefox, then it may not work and you need to change the older version.As you have not mentioned the details, it is better for you to make the Google search with keywords like " unable to access gmail in firefox, IE etc,;There has been lot of solutions given for the various browsers. Just now I made the search about this. You can also do that.

Remove your browser cookies and check browser's option that they are blocked . give some details that what the error showing .is it page cannot display problem?

if it is true then you go on window folder of your root directory then system32 folder then device after then etc there is a file hosts. open it on notepad and check there is name of these website.

I can access my yahoo mail without any difficulties. I think it might be the browsers you are using like one of the members mentioned. Did you open two browsers at the same time??

When I first installed the Firefox, I could not login to my yahoo mail. So, I was so annoyed because I thought there was a problem with my internet provider or something. However, when I changed back to IE, it worked just fine. I think it happened because of the browsers setting when I kept changing within these two. Now, I only use one browser at a time.

I had the same problem with Facebook and Youtube a while back. I can't open those sites on Firefox although I can easily surf my other regularly visited sites.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox twice but the darn browser also kept crashing.

So I downloaded Google Chrome and have been using it ever since.

The problem can be the browser you're using. Before taking any drastic action through, try to clear the cache and delete the temporary internet files. Sometimes, that's just what is needed.

check your internet settings or your network connection cause these sites have not been shut down cause i have been using them

There must be some browser problem.try loading the page in other brower.
Most probably your PC has got some virus or malware kind of thing....use a good Antivirus or Format your computer (that's what I do when I face these types of problems)

when i go online, i open at least 2 tabs in my firefox browser, one is for yahoomail and the other is for mylot. yesterday and until today, i have no problem accessing yahoomail. today, before i post this response, i checked my gmail account and found it fine, no problem either. so i can't see anything why you cannot access yours. maybe, there are some security measures or settings in your computer that needs to be checked, maybe it's in your firewall settings.
