You are paid for your participation and according to the quality of your discussions and responses. There is a complicated algorithm (which the Guidelines say we should not attempt to analyse) which calculates the earnings. There is no set amount per post.
If you want to improve your earnings you should read the Guidelines and practice posting good quality, descriptive responses and discussions which encourage others to do the same. Many people would be better off posting responses rather than discussions at first because that way you have a chance to understand what makes a good discussion and what does not.

I agree with what you have pointed out but I do not think there is consistency. Anyway, I am enjoying the my lot community and their quest for knowledge. By the way I went on your profile and I like it. Could I be on your list of friends because we seem to have similiar interest? Thanks.

I agree that 'consistency' can seem elusive. If we are speaking of 'consistency' in dealing with Guideline violations, it is because, first, MyLot Admin depend very much on members reporting things that are out of order (and some discussions, even so, slip through the net) and, second, because MyLot seem to have a policy that only the CURRENT month's postings can be deleted ... there are discussions from last month which blatantly go against the Guidelines (and even from three or four years ago) that they will not delete, even when they are reported. I do find that very inconsistent (and frustrating)!

Well, I posted 13 times yesterday, I and I got 14 cents in my account. Another person I know posted 70 times and only got 11 cents. I'm guessing that you earn more money for longer posts and for being a higher rated user. On average, I've been getting 1-2 cents per post.

I don't have idea how much we get for every discussion. But if you want to earn more from mylot. Be an active member of mylot. Participate in as many discussion as you can. Start new discussions. Also there are many tasks are available in mylot. you can also go for them. Best of luck!
