Have you ever made a call to a radio or TV station for songs?

Yes I tried to call a radio sation a once a long time ago, but I never got through to the station, the reason I called was to win this contest, I was trying to answer a trivia question that the radio station had, but like said I never got through to anyone, that was really lame coz I would have won the contest too because I knew the answer.

Hi, I have never phoned a radio station requesting for a song but I was shocked one day when I heard over the radio the househelp was on air requesting a song. I was shocked because I heard my name. I was in the office at that time and the radio was turned on for mellow music. I was teased by my officemates because the househelp was always requesting songs and I would hear my name always on the radio.
I have though dialed the local TV station one night to request a song, we had a party and we sang videoke songs on TV.

During my teenage years, yes! There's this FM station who we actually make some announcements for our peer. I usually call them to great my friends and let them knew what are my plans for the day. And usually if they got the message, they would respond by calling that same radio station. Every calls would end-up to a request of song and dedication and saying how grateful and lucky I am to be able to call them. Damn, its some simple silly things to do when your a teenager.

I remember requesting for a song from a radio station but that's over the internet. I tried calling some radio stations when I was in college but it's so hard to get through that I never tried again. Cheers!

I think I have done this once, when I was I think 11 or 12. Though I did not request for a specific song, But what I did was I voted for a song for the daily top ten. Hahahahaha. I tried calling for like 30 minutes, and when I got connected, I was only on-air for like 3 seconds, just enough for me to spit out the name of the song, and the DJ cut me off after that. lol. It was a funny experience though.

I have never made a call to radio or TV station for songs or any contests. I have always heard from the radio stations, many people called in to dedicate songs to anyone, but I have never tried or never think of trying too. I suppose if I try to call in, then I will be really nervous as my voice is going on air.

Now most of the TV channels and Radio station are offering telephone services and viewers/listeners can select the songs according to their choice. The other attraction is you can dedicate the song for your loved ones. To be very frank I often surprised with those callers and think that how these people can make call, don’t they have any work at home. It is very annoying to keep on trying and waiting for long time to the call. I never made any call but come callers are saying to the Anchor, ‘we are trying for long time….’ etc. Even though I try I don’t think I will get them in line because I don’t have patience to keep on trying and of course I don’t want to waste my time too.

Once my brother’s daughter tried to call and after a long time she gave up because the line was very busy.

yes, i did that when i was a teenager, hahaha. i tried calling an FM station and requested for a song to be played. we were just too excited to listen to our voice over the radio. i was also teasing the disc jockey who was our office mate. he had this side job at the radio station. when he reported to the office the next day, he was telling us that we just had nothing but make fun of him, hahahaha. i also tried calling a radio station to answer their quiz. i was able to answer it right but i was using another name. the problem was ... nobody would like to claim the prize as they were shy to present themselves at the radio station.

Yes, I have! And it was so awful! LOL. I think it was 7 years ago, when I was spending holiday with my friends in rural area. In the night when we were watching TV, accidentally we were watching TV program which allowed us to call them and request song, along with video clip. And I did just that. I called the number on TV, and I can hear my own voice from TV! And suddenly my friends laughed at me, but however we got the song we wanted.=)

Yes, I enjoy listening to when people call in and the funny things they say. Ive called in multiple times to request songs and also to partipate in contests. I guess you could say I had a pretty good experience with it. Normally I get an answering machine or a machine that allows you to leave the song and your name.
