In China, the law is under preparation, and there are lots of debates on the justifications of such a law against mistreating animals. Do you have such a law in your country, and does it help to curb the mistreatment?

There are existing animal cruelty laws here in the US. In my town, I know that they are actually enforced. Does it cut down on animal cruelty? Maybe, but there will always be those people who mistreat animals and do not get caught.

Yes we do have an existing law against animal cruelty in the Philippines, we called it The Animal Welfare Act if I'm not mistaken, I think most countries does have a law against animal cruelty, it's just a matter of properly enforcing the law. Animals should have the right to be treated fair, most of these animals are helpless and their safety and existence only depends on these existing laws. I for one support this law or any law that promotes the welfare of animals.
