| shagz_srk (24) | 3 months ago | considering the amount of chaos created by George Bush ... the UN thought that as Obama was peaceful in his aproach than Bush and thus he deserves it and gave the award... LOL

ParaTed2k (4591) | 3 months ago | No, they offered him a $1.4 million dollar bribe in hopes he would carry out their wishes. They are criminals, the Nobel Peace Prize committee and Obama.
It is time they were prosecuted for their crimes.

4. abhikmjmdr (638) | 3 months ago | Barack Obama has really achieved nothing so far during his term as American President and certainly does not deserve the Nobel Prize.Until now this was one prize that was given to deserving people. Maybe less deserving people, but people who had merit. This time was an exception. Due to political pressure not to give the prize to the Dalai Lama, the committee chose what they thought was a "safe" candidate and one that would please the strongest nation in the world- The United States. This caused this unwarranted decision to award the Nobel Prize to Barack Obama!

| koundinya3 (47) | 3 months ago | hi abhik i would like to point out something here.. obama has been a peace lover and this was kind of evident from his speeches.. and the impressive thing was that he immediately stopped the geneva detention camp which is supposed to be the most disgraceful prison camp in the world. may be UN thought giving him the nobel would let him do more peace events.. but i agree that it was a real bad gamble and ppl have started losing faith in the system which is a bad sign ...

I think it speaks volumes that he was woke up in the morning to take a press conference on winning it and thought it was a pratical joke until he was given proof.
