Cheesecake | | Its a rainy day in Florida today, a great day for testing recipes. I am testing for my blog and am working on cheesecakes. Today I made a pumpkin carmel with ginger snap crust and a raspberry swirl one. I'm looking for more recipes for some different types of cheesecake. Do you have a favorite that you'd like to share, prehaps a family hand me down or Grandmothers best? If I use it on blog, of course you will get the credit. Thanks in advance for your help J

How about a cheese cake covered with caramlized apples with a butter crumb topping. Oh now I am hungery. Your cheese cake sounds so good, and then I just thought of that one off of the top of my head and that sounds so good too. Now I am going to have to figure out how to make that. LOL

| | 3. CoffeeAnyone (1697) | 1 month ago | You are what? You are going to be making cheese cakes on a regular bases for your blog. I am so wishing I was your best friend and neightbor right now! How I love cheese cake; oh I just can't tell you. However I just can't bring myself to make cheese cake more then once a year or less. I just can't I mean I just can't because I love it so much that I would eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner and everything in between! I do eat cheesecake when I go out to a resturant for dinner so I get my fill that is for sure. I often wonder though if I would loose my desire for cheesecake if I tried different flavors. I am partial to a plain cheese cake wiht just the slightest bit of strawberry or rasberry saucse. I have tried a few others though and do enjoy them but if plain cheesecake is on the menu it is impossible for me to choose anything else but the plain version!

sulsisels (207) | 1 month ago | Hi Coffee No silly, not on a regular basis, although I probably could with all the recipes I have from school..No, I'm going to feature cheesecake in my Thanksgiving blog. I blog about all kinds of food and all kinds of recipes, I've been working on it for months and it will post twice a week. I'm opening it the week before Thanksgiving and cheesecake will be the featured desert..I understand what you are saying. It is a wonderful desert and there are sooo many variations..Plain is always good as you say, but if you tried a couple of the ones we made in school, you might change your mind..

sulsisels (207) | 1 month ago | Hi Coffee, No silly, not on a regular basis. I'm going to feature cheesecake on my Thanksgiving post. I blog about food, all types, all kinds of recipes. It has not posted yet as I am still working on it, but it will open the week before Thanksgiving and will post twice a week. Cheesecake will be the feature desert for Thanksgiving. I probably could, however, do chesecake on a regular basis with all the recipes I've collected from school and cookbooks etc. I know what you are saying, believe me. It is a wonderful desert. Plain is always a sure thing but if you tried some of the many variations I have up my sleeve, you might change your mind. I did not major in pastry, but truly enjoyed that part of the training. Now I have to train all the time to stay in shape!! Its hard to be a cook and stay slim..real hard..Think I'll go have a piece of yesterdays trials for breakfast! Thamks for the post...J

sulsisels (207) | 1 month ago | Good morning fjarill You're too funny...Yes it is still raining in Ft Lauderdale,,hot and humid too..sigh..I'm going to pm you the link for the recipe just as soon as I wake up here..Thanks for the response,,One problem though, there is no reapberry in this recipe..I typed that wrong I guess. The raspberry swirl recipe is a different recipe so you'd just be getting pumpkin with carmel amd ginger snap crust.Do you still want it? I'm going to send it to you anyway and if you don't like the way it sounds just trash it..I got to tell you however,,Its absolutely delicious!!J

fjaril (4282) | 1 month ago | you really mean that?? No raspberries together with the pumpkin?? But if you swirl it altogether, then? no?
I cannot begin to tell you haw disappointed I am to hear that,, Say that whole sentence now WITHOUT that beloved fruit.. Do you know,, well you do NOW, that raspberry is my favourite berry of all time.. and I am a real berry lover!
We were to the market yesterday, my wife and I, and I stopped her in front of the raspberries,,and figured out that they were about 1 krona a piece!!.. so 30 kronor a basket..and you know that it translates into 4 something US bucks for those 30 berries!!
Why why!! Alas.. But I love your recipes anyway,, yes.. just had to express my little tantrum for you, knowing you would appreciate my disappointment and all.. one way to my heart is very surely though delicious creamy desserty things. I actually feel a boyish warm feeling of secret delight at the mention.. where o where does it come from!

sulsisels (207) | 1 month ago | fjaril now I feel bad, feel so bad that I am going to find you a great raspberry recipe in my collection from school that you and your wife can make and go straight to raspberry heaven..We worked with them in school all the time, purees, sauces, tarts, creams, etc..Just give me a day or so and I'll send you something that will make the 4.00 worth it..p.s. they are 5.00 per pt here in US right now so I know the feeling..All summer they were 2.50 and I bouught lots at that price and froze..They freeze nicely so if you ever get a good buy, do that..I'll get back with you..J
