Weird!

hi corrycrystal I got the oddest call, this man said he was JOhn and then mumbled something blah blah on sale, and I can blah blah for you, so I asked him to talk more loudly and more distinctly and more slowly, so he very slowly and carefully yelled,maam you need a doctor. I replied, what are talking about? and he again screamed at me, you need a doctor. So I said, no, its not me that needs the head doctor, goodbye you idiot. You called me, I did not call you. Then I hung up. well an hour later, I get another phone call, " this is John again, get Rene now. I said, look you have the wrong number. NO Rene here. He screamed, you need a doctor, get Rene now. So this time I just hung up. I figured now that the two calls were pranks. I talked to the operator who said I should let them know if this idiot calls again. but thank Goodness he never called again. Oh and there was this one, hi I was told you want to sell your time share. I told him, sir I dont know how you got my phone number but I do not own a time share. so he apologized and hung up. five minutes later this same voice calls me, and says, I can get you a much lower interest on the credit card you told us you needed help on. So now I figure he is working several different ploys here. So this time I just said, please take me off your list as I do not answer telemarketers at all. then I hung up.

I guess the most absurd phone call I ever got was on my cell phone, and it was an automated recording telling me that my warranty was about to expire on my car and I could buy extended coverage, yadda yadda yadda.... The funny thing... I don't own a car. I've actually gotten this call several times on my cell phone and my home phone. I just hang up and shake my head.

The most absurd thing said to me was the same thing 3 days in a row by different telemarketers working for the same company! I just tell them to hold on now and I don't get back on the phone.

That is weird! Fired from what? (LOL) It is difficult to distinguish between crank calls, strange sales tactics or suspicious scams. I received a call on my mobile from Google (??) advising me I had won a holiday to Fiji and if I gave them my credit card number for identification they would send me my tickets and itinerary. Yeah...Right!!

I think that telemarketer had watched too much of The Apprentice! lol. I don't normally give a chance to any telemarketer when they call. I'll just ask how I can help and if they tell me that they are 'marketing' something, as long as it doesnt interest me, I'll just say sorry and hang up.:)

I used to receive many telemarketer calls. They normally try
to market some hotels membership, time-sharing membership,
bank link insurance coverage etc. It is quite annoying especially
when we are busy or driving. I can even recognised some of their
voices since they call quite regular. I normally tell them that I
am not interested. However, they just ignored and keep explaining
like a tape recorder

At times I used to wonder at the intelligent level of some of these tele marketeers.
Once I said to a person 'I am home' as I just reached home then.She tried to correct me that I should say that I am at home .I just politely told her that I know my English and this neither a school nor she is a capable teacher who can correct me.
