Thank you for that compliment...sometimes I, too, would like to put on the wrestling gloves, but have to stop, take small breaths, and think before I impulsively respond. That is not always easy, since I can be very strong in my convictions.

But I have seen responses in these categories that can be quite upsetting, and it made me think that just maybe I come off this way when I tend to voice my opinion on my beliefs. I hope, in the future, I will be more sensitive to the words I use.

Fortunately, when we have heated discussions, especially when it comes to various beliefs, it can reflect negatively on that person, actually the opposite of what they should reflect. And it does make our beliefs look rather phoney...after all, we should be practicing what we preach..lol

No...not at all...I had to do it for myself so I will remain on track when I am in those discussion rooms. There are many times I would like to take out the Boxing gloves, but I know that that kind of repsonse is not going to help anyone find the truth. lol

Keep in mind, that while you may be looking for proof for every response you get, there may be at times we cannot provide you that, for faith is believing in something we not always have proof of.

In addition, keep in mind that I am from the Catholic Religion...while we are Christians, not everyone agrees with the Catholic Point of view...therefore I will respond to what I believe and not necessarily what you want to hear.

See the following Bible Verses:-

John:5:30: I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

>> This means Jesus was receiving messages from Father/God and he was judging as per that, and he says Father sent him. This Implies that he was a prophet of God, not God himself.
Also He says He seeks not his own will but the will of Father who sent him. Who ever seek the will of God is called a Muslim. Jesus was a Muslim (Means The one who submit to Almighty God's will).

Acts:2:22: Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

>> A Man approved of God among the society with miracles of God did by him is called a Prophet. Moses, Abraham, all were doing Miracles of God through them. This clearly implies that Jesus was a Prophet, not son of God or God. God is so holy in having a son, the act of animals and creatures.

Mark:12:29: And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

>> Jesus Said OUR Lord, the lord of Jesus and the lord of all the people he addressing. That clearly implies that Jesus was a prophet or messenger to the Israel and He was instructing people to Worship the ONE God/Lord.

John:17:3: And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

>> This again it make clear that Jesus was Sent by the true God, and to announce that the God is ONE only, and Jesus Christ is a prophet of God.


### All of the above verses says that God, the Lord is One only, Jesus was a prophet sent by almighty got the the children of Israel who diverted from the pathway of God taught by previous prophets like Moses. Jesus Preached to Worship only ONE God who created humankind and universe.

All the prophets of God preached the same basic message, that God is one, worship him alone and do good deeds. All prophets had miracles to show that they were the prophets of God. Jesus was one of the great messengers of God, Jesus was neither crucified nor dead, he is still alive in a dwelling place given by God. Prophet Mohammad was the last and final messenger of God.

The message of all prophets were Islam, to submit to almighty God. And those prophets were Muslims. The final edition of message from God is the Quran, which is revealed to the final messenger of God.

Frist Reason why I wrote Bible verses are because the topic starter was a sincere christian. As she wanted to share her joy in belief in Christianity, I was just trying to make Christians think that, what the Christians believe are going hand in hand with Bible or not.

Now, to your main question:-

Islam (Peace in Submission to God) was the way of life which God prescribed for humans since the beginning. God conveyed the message to human kind through some of the chosen people called as 'Prophets'. eg. Adam, Idris, Noah, Abraham, David, Solomon, Moses, Jesus, Mohammad, etc. First prophet was Adam and Last prophet was Mohammad. Our creator The Almighty God conveyed the same basic message to all of these prophets. But there was some changes in the rules and regulations depending on the development and kind of generations.

God describes in Quran about 4 holy revelations by name revealed to 4 messengers of God.
1. Zabur (Psalms) to Dawud(David)
2. Taurat (torah) to Musa (Moses)
3. Injeel (Gospel) to Iesa (Jesus)
4. Quran to Mohamamd.

The final edition of the revelations of God 'Quran' was revealed to the Final messenger of God 'Mohammad' which agree with the above revelations with changes in some rules and regulations so that it could be applicable to whole humanity until the end.

So we accept the above revelations with changes or rules mentioned in the final edition of revelation, however the messages of all those revelations are almost mentioned in Quran. and real stories of previous prophets also mentioned in Quran, Especially about Jesus and his mother mary. There is a chapter 'Maryam' (Mary) in Quran. Quran exists in it's Original language without any change in a word. And Arabic is a very good living language still.

BUT, The Bible available today does not depict those actual words of God revealed. There are lot of living examples for it. Just check the Christian Bible, it contains only very less percentage of sayings of even Jesus. Remaining all are writings, letters, and features of apostles etc.
Also you can see Bible keep on changing time to time, Check different versions of Bible, some are different in Chapter itself, some Bible don't have some verses that exists in other, some meanings are much different from one version to another.

The main dogma of Christianity is Trinity, the word Trinity doesn't exists in Bible.

Again But, We still believe that the Bible and Torah available today are the remainders of those revelations given by God, but not exactly as God's word, so some verses may be the words (not exactly though) of God and some verses not. The Bible verses I mentions in my last reply was mostly matching with the Quran. So there is no harm in believing in those verses for me.

So the existence of Christians, Jews and Bible are the strengthening proof of Islam. And Islam is the only religion that acknowledge the faith in Jesus Christ.

I am amazed to see a long response to a simple question. I think it is very difficult for you to give a proper answer. That is why you told many things which are not pertaining to my question. Once again,Can you please answer my question? Do you believe the verses from Bibile you quoted in the discussion? It is as simple as that.
After Reading your response i have one more doubt now,So Can i Say the existance of Christians,Jews and the Bible are the strengthening proof of Oprah Winfries religion?. As per the ideas you are having to establish islams credibility, the same is void for Oprahs church also, she also took the idea from christianity and judaism. And more over she is living not dead yet, so you dont need to go and search for historical proofs. If Possible please give me the answer to my question in straight way.

I was trying to say that the revelations given by God to Moses, Jesus and David are not available in the pure form, it has undergone changes. So we do not believe it is 100% word of god. But there exists some words of God of course.

The above mentioned verses, I believe them.

Didn't you understand what I explained? I explained the view of Islam on the previous scriptures prior to Quran. I in explained detail because to justify the answer. If I just say Yes/No will not make it a clear answer. If a child directly admitted to college can he understand anything? No he has to finish schooling first.

I don't know what is Oprah's church. I consider Catholic, Protestant, Jehovah witness, Anglican, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Latter day saint, Full Gospel etc all as Christian. If Oprah is something like that I consider them as christian as well.

I think I have found the real peace. And I always pray to achieve more peace and right belief.

Hi Harley, thanks for the response. Let me come straight to the point. If you believe in the John 5:30, and John 17:3. You must believe in John 10:30,14:9,14:16-17,23. Other wise you should admit it as hyprocracy. Usually oppentunists use certain words of famous people to show that they are correct.If you try to study the verses(John 10:30, but before that learn the meaning of genesys 1:26) I have a humble request to you, dont read bible, study it, otherwise you will not get any meaning from it. for eg. Jesus told to pick up the cross and follow me. If you study Bible you will get the meaning, if you read the bible, you will end up in making a wooden cross and start following with the wooden cross.(that is what you are doing now!) The words in bible are not at all a support to the existance of Islam. Islam it iself is formed after centuries of formation of christianity. Anybody can copy ideology from the former one not from the later one.
Your comment like "The topic starter is a sincere christian" is too childish. How did you come to such a conclusion? and what is your scale to measure the sincerity of a christian?.
One more thing, i did not say anything about Oprah's church, i dont know if such a thing exists, I told you about Oprah's religion. Oprah uses words from Bible,Geeta etc. If some words are similar in bible,Geeta,or Quran does not mean that Oprahs is the perfect religion and true religion. (Remember that she is not a christian, she was a christian)
Your perspective in theory of peace is absolutely wrong. About 33% of French people are athiests, majority of them are living their life and dying in peace only. The the most peace less community is the Morocan and algerian coloneys(Remember previous riots in france). I know many hindu people back in India who are not christians or Muslims living very peacefully.

I'm not agreeing all Bible is word of God or 100% truth, but some truth remains in it. I quoted these verses to make think Christians about the Bible and Christianity is not exactly as the Jesus says in Bible.

Also It contradict with John: 10:29:-
John:14:28: Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

>>Joh:14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Joh:14:9: Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
....
Joh:14:12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Joh:14:16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh:14:17: Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

What Jesus says to Philip here? Jesus says He is the way to Father, He is the truth. Jesus shows the ways to Father, by following Jesus practicing what Jesus did is the way of the Father, The Amighty God.
Also See Joh 14:12, Jesus says All the Miracles shown by Jesus is done by the Father/God, and God can do many bigger things than that.
This shows Jesus is not God, He came to proclaim the truth that God is powerful, to the People of son of Israel.
Where is the Comforter Given by the Almighty God?.. You might say Holy Ghost! Where is He? Actually that Comforter is Prophet Mohammad, who is the guidance to all humanity till the end.

Joh:14:23: Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

I agree with this, and this is what exactly we say. The People have to follow the Prophet of their time to get the right message from God. So if the people at the time of Jesus followed Jesus and loved him, God will love him of course, and our return is to the Almighty God.

You made comments about the verses John 10:30,14:9,14:16-17,23. But forgot to mention the meanings and idea of the verses I mentioned.??
