Blogging as they say is the modern term for making and writing on a diary. Is this true?

hi airasheila^^;; yes maybe, since some could express freely what they think and feel, what they have been through the days. but in the other sense, it may not be as secretive as the paper diary which can be kept at your most private place in your room since everybody could read your blog and know who you are even if you will be writing and posting anonymously. this personal distinction between the two will still keep them different.

thanks for the information, i guest you have a point, a diary is needed to be kep secret while a blog can be read by anybody though posting are anonymously.

if you are as open like the others who would write everything about their lives then blogging is for you. others also use it to show or tell the person they like that they are interested to them.

Actually it's up to you to define your blogging idea. I dont really treat it as a diary, since I seldom write about my daily activities. Sometimes I write book reviews, sometimes I write about the news I read, and reflection on the news. Sometimes I just rant. Sometimes I write my feelings and opinions. Sometimes I write in magazine style. Since it's my own blog, I choose to write the way I want.

Scheng is right; blogging is defined by whichever way you look at it..

For me, blogging is an outlet for me to release my own snippets view on life, rants and rave about my own and many more. I make it pretty much personalized and they are like my one window to the many things outside. It's very much replacing the traditional way of writing and keeping a journal and to experiment this, I even bought a small notepad just for me to jot down certain phrases to write for articles should I have ideas and stuff. And I found myself pretty much having lots of blank pages on it and it's kind of lol for me. I then knew that blogging is the answer for me, with our without updating regularly. It just have to be there for me, when I really need it. Good topic here..

Yes, with the development of the Internet, more and more people are tending to write a blog to share what they are doing and what they are thinking. Before the apperance of comouter and the Internet, most people form a habit of writing diary using a notebook, but then, blogging is becoming a part of our daily life. Of course, in the past few years, as a new subject, micro-blogging(such as Twitter) is accepted by more people. More and more spend much time on Twitter and other micro-blogging sites to share their feelings and experiences. Happy myLotting!

That's one way of looking at blogging. To me, blogging is like having an internal conversation with myself. I express most of my feelings and thoughts into it, regardless of whether there will be readers or not. You can also use blogging to express your views of products and services, your likes and dislikes of them, and whether you would recommend them to people. There are lots of people out there who could use your reviews as a decision making tool. Whatever reasons you blog, just do it out of fun and enjoy the process.

Yes, I agree to that. I do have a blog site. It contains all of my writings regarding my emotions. It serves as an outlet for me in which I am able to write everything I feel. Blogging is really a nice way to express ones feelings.
