If you hold the arrow over the star, you will also see a number between 1 and 100. 100 is the best. I=, for example, have an 85. I think when I get to 86 or 87, I will have a 9 in my star.

The star is a result of the +/-/! that your posts receive from other users. The more plusses the higher your star and this affects your earnings too. A higher value star will earn more for the same post than a lower one.
