To be honest, I have been in this situation before, and on October 29 it will have been on my record for 10 years. Let me tell you, this sucks for future jobs. Now that the economy has changed, they actually look up your record. Mine is getting sealed Tuesday. Anyhow, I went running and they came running at me, I frozed and peed my pants. When they grabbed me to take me into the office, I was still peeing my pants. I lost all control and started stuttering like I was mentally handicapped. Never do it again. Have a good day

What can you do? You're caught. You either admit it or deny it. I would admit it. Hey I needed this and I had no money. Im not going to sit there and say I would never do it because some have no choice. There are people that have it financial problems and have no other way. If I got caught I would admit it. If they catch you, they've been watching you. They have to make sure they see you physically put it in your bag. That's the law. I work in retail. We are trained that unless you see them you dont do anything. dl

When caught, I am afraid there's nothing much you can do anyway but to face the music. Chances are that no matter how you plead for them to forgive you or something, you will be taken to the police station and be booked. In some cases you will be imprisoned unless you bail yourself out. Shoplifting is not really worth and any crime for that matter. You will have a record that will be digged up again and again once you apply for anything. One really has to think twice before doing something like that, no matter how petty it may look.
enjoy life!

Gee I can't even think of doing even shoplifting, if I could not afford the item I'd look but not pick it up!

Hi Laydee,
I have never done that but if I were in that situation, I gladly accept it and pay the price whatever needed. I never run or try to pretend. If I have to pay more than it costs I would rather give it without any argument. No one in this world is good and pretending to be a good human being is what everyone does... All the world is a stage...
Cheers... Have a nice day...
