It has been very tough for me to cope in these tough times. My income has been cut and my bills are still the same. I have all the essentials plus some credit card debts, about $25,000 and don't know how to keep up with all these payments. Does anyone have any special plan they use?

We did some major downsizing. We rent, so no mortgage but when our lease was up we decided to move to a cheaper place. It is far cheaper than the original place we were in. We have no credit cards nor any loans. Our vehicles are paid off. Our biggest expense monthly is the rent. We also downsized in the fact that we don't go out to eat often. In the past we went out to eat at least once a week. We have gone for weeks on end without eating out. We did splurge while I was in the hospital after having the baby. There is a fabulous little diner there with lots of healthy meals, salads and sandwiches. We ate there for lunch for 2 days in a row. That was our celebration of having our son and spending a little alone time together. I also keep track of every dime we spend. This includes gas, bills, groceries, anything. If we buy something at a convenient store the receipt gets saved and I include it in the monthly budget outline. At the end of the month it all gets totaled up and if I think we are spending too much in a certain area we try to brainstorm on how to decrease that expense. This exercise has really helped my fiance see how much he wastes in $ when he goes and buys cokes and snacks at the local convenient store. It is much easier to buy canned drinks on sale and pack him a little cooler with them and some snacks from home. That is our strategy.

I am not sure where you are located but if you live in the US I have a few programs that I work online to earn some extra income. For me being online can seem like fun and games but I look at it as time to earn. Add me as a friend and let's see if I can help assist you in earning some extra income online. Have a good day.

Hi there, I am not sure if it helps you or not, but I think we are all in same boat. The most importank thing is if we keep a positive attitude - that way we don't get stressed and stay healthy. I went to visit your profile, curious if you had a blog listed etc, which you did - however I am not really sure if the blog was your own..? There are many ways to save in the monthly budget, also are you using any online money making ventures ? It does't appear from your note here. I personally use several different ventures online to earn extra cash - most of them is listed on my blog which can be found on my profile, if interested feel free to stop by.

I am divorced, and since I have been divordec, it has been hard on me. I do have a mortgage, and also credit cards that I need to try o pay off, which are enough, about $7500.00. It is really difficult to make good money online. I am on a fixed income, but it only goes so far, and it is very hard to have enough money to live on let alone pay the bills each month. Anything I can make online, is just extra income. I sure don't make a lot either. I wish I did, to make more than what I need. Someday, it will happen, I hope. I do have money left at the end of every month before the money comes in again, but it sure isn't a lot. It really hurts when I have to try od do it all on my own. I have never had to do this until I got divorced. Somehow, I know I will make it rhrough, as I will just put it all in the Lord's hands and let him take care of my fiancies, and I know he will. Good luck to you adn happy mylotting.
