I am not sure i agree with that. I purchased a perfectly nice keyboard for my computer for 4 dollars at GoodWill and WalMart had the same one for 13.00 I think it is a matter of shoping around for the best price on the best product. The trick is that I don't want some complexe anti virus software deciding for me what will be viewed and not. And when i set it to ask, well it asks on every little thing and not just the big thing like a HIGH RISK site that may be wanting to download something. so it's a pain. AVG used to have just a simple no frills feel save without any trouble then they decided to make it 'better' and it just is too much. I have a basic essential protection from microsoft which is was workin fine of course now it has been about month so it sending these concerns that i need to upgrade so it will be off loaded too. Thanks for all the great tips its been really great getting the feedback...i will be checkin out many of those sugggestions

If you really hate viruses, then I suggest that you get yourself a Mac. It's basically virus-free. And aside from that, if you have been a windows user (like me before i met MAC), you can actually install windows in a Mac while you are still familiarizing it. Good riddance.

if there's no such thing as free...as you say, why say 'it's totally free' from your bank.

The diffence is when you put savings in your bank the bank offer certaiun suff as part of your package wirth them effectily you pay for them indiectly through interest amountas so effectivily they are total free and they are not a con. For example Say you put £10000.00 or the same in dollars into an account and the bank rate the interest 10% and they provide you with an account for say 6% interest each year effectivelly they gain 4% for every 6% that you get so in some ways your bank are effectively charging you for these editional services, however they are not when i say totally free i mean that they provide this service to you as long as you hold an account with the, however this does not mean that you have to have money in your account as you dont just have to have an opening balance.

My internet provder provides mcaffe internet security for free as have the internet with them there is no catch there is no trial its just free. The word free means exactly what it is when someone says to you i will provide you with a free trial, that is not free

I don't know anything about banking and finance, but for free, these days, whenever you hear anything that mentions free, be warned though cause there will always be something behind it, that isn't disclosed to you, which will make you pay more. So just be careful and try to study first something before you think of investing not just your money but also your time.

Sounds scary...better the devil i know, than to load something that will completely expose me to potential danger since i have little understanding of how to manually manage my firewalls etc. But it gets bad and have an old computer i dont care about i may just try this, and if it works and i feel confident about managing it, well it will be on top of the world knowing i am finally free of the hyped antivirus guru who claim freedom but forget to say 30days of freedom. you can research more for DEEP FREEZE in the internet. Its nothing scary, you just need to clear out your cache and temporary internet files, fix issues and optimized start ups before you install the program itself. Your computer is guaranteed to run ALWAYS as good as new. Well if you use FIREFOX, you can install WOT from the add ons. what this actually do is Firefox scans the websites first before you open it, so if firefox send a green circle it means good site, a red means a bad site. Free online Anti virus is not safe, these free programs are the ones being hacked by other providers so that you wont purchase the actual product turning your heads to the actual virus hacker. That is the competition on free anti virus. hope i have enlighten you.

I already heard a lot about this Deep Freeze. But then again, it was 4 to 5 years ago. But when I was introduced to MAC, my world turned upside down. I said to myself that I will never find another computer without a MAC OS X inside its system.

so have you tried the Deep freeze
