Can you do crochet?

Yes, I do crochet, and enjoy it very much. I normally only do it in the winter time, for it gets a bit warm(especially if you are making an afghan). I am sure you can do a search online. Your best bet though would probably be go down to Wal-mart, Hobby Lobby or any other craft place and buy crochet patterns. It will teach you the steps and how to make what you want.

The best thing i can suggest is google for site on beginners crochet. There are alot of good sites out there . I can crochet. I make afghans and dresses . I even crocheted my daughters prom dress one year and have made my other daughter numerous dresses.

I can crochet, but I wouldn't say that I am really good at it because I am not. As a matter of fact, my mother had the most difficult time teaching me to crochet because I am left handed and I tried to do whatever she showed be backwards. She was finally able to teach me by having me sit in front of her and watching her do it. I've made several baby afghans and I'm working on a full-sized afghan for my bed.
As far as patterns, the only things that I am able to do are straight and waves. For me waves are easier as long as you remember to count your stitches. Whenever I try to crochet straight, I always seem to either gain a stitch or drop a stitch.
Still, this is a very relaxing hobby and I'm glad that I took the time to learn it from my mother.

I'm making a blanket right now, but in the past I have also made scarves. I'm not very good at it, and I pretty much stick to one kind of stitch (doubles), which I taught myself from a little book I got years ago at Walmart. Every time I start a new project I have to either google it to remember how the beginning knot thing works, or refer to my old book I still have. There is a lot of information out there.
