Ladies wearing make-up at gym

It truly boggles my mind why women would wear make-up to workout. I go to gym to pump serious iron. I don't want my mascara running down my cheeks or my gym towel full of foundation marks. Do you feel the same? Or do you wear make-up to gym? If so, why?

There are any number of reasons why women put on makeup to go sweat it off including vanity and insecurity.

LOL. That is a good one. Perhaps they don't look that great without their make-up like you say. Who knows? I just wouldn't waste my make-up (which is getting more expensive by the day) on a gym workout. Besides half the woman wearing the make-up are married! Why would they want to look 'their best' in a gym when hubby is at work?

I guess they have been wearing it so long that if they don't everyone will find out what they actually look like and realize they are not as glamorous as their makeup.

Oh my god, you are so right. I don't understand. But maybe I think what this is all about. Us, men, want to grow muscles and go to the gym to sweat and pump our arms with blood and we aren't afraid of blood and pain. But the ladies often go to the gym to get fit and they like watching the people, they make themselves pretty and in fact, I like it, because between my sets, I look at the girls. But I agree that it's not necessary, but in the other hand, it's not unpleasant. As long as they don't look they were at a wedding, it's fine to me. The thing that kills me, litterally in the women who bring books. What the hell? We are there to do some serious things and some come with their books and read on the achines while they do their work out! Explanations... I have to wait until they are finished with their page to finally grow my body up? No, I' sorry, but the reading club is next door, reading is in the library, your at the gym, you push iron, you sweat, you scream and you fill your muscles with blood and go home. End of the story, onlinemoneyjourney, thank you for this discussion, I will start one about all the things people shouldn't do in a gym. it's a good idea I think! Good luck with your ladies buddy.

Reading in the gym between sets? That's insane. I have seen women reading on the treadmill or bikes but not between sets. It's a bit extreme if you ask me. I agree with you, the gym is no place for reading. As a man you would like the eye-candy that some women provide. Nothing wrong with that. For me, personally, it's about the workout and not the head-turning. I can't wait for some of your discussions.
