in the Crescent City Daily Triplicate had a Eurek man was
stealing from the Yurok Tribl burial grounds and publised a video on
YouTube. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, perform 60 hours of community

Everybody wants their moment of fame..some want it so bad, they'll do something REAL dumb to get it...unfortunately (or fortunately,if "Schadenfreude" (German for "Enjoyment of the misfortune of Others" is your thing, and watching Sk8erbois doing a faceplant makes you laugh) many such moments do end up on Youtube..I was reading of a Woman who was filmed driving through puddles so as to soak schoolkids recently..Or the Kid who borrowed a performance car and took it up a motorway and filmed the excessive speeds he was doing..the cops saw both these vids online and prosecuted them both!
