electricity consumption

Is the computer the same with TV in terms of electricity consumption? Please let me know.

It really depends on the kind of computer and of television that you have. A computer can use from 60w up to 350w, for the tv it depends on the technology used and on how much is the tv big. Plasma tv's are the most power-draining, lcd with led technology should be the one with less consumption, while tradition lcd and crt are in the middle. I can tell you that a 32'' lcd with led technology consumes on average around 80-90w. Bigger televisions have a much bigger consumption.

hi dhysanne, Welcome to mylot... I think so, that is what i heard from my father before. But I am not much sure with that. But if you were much concern about how to save your electricity then. Try to unplug any appliances in your house that you are not using. Just do not turn it off. Instead unplug it since 25% of the electricity is still being consume if the sucket is still plug on.
