I recall riding in the car with my mom, listening to the radio and singing along. Wildfire is one song that sticks out. What songs sticks out the most from your childhood, that you liked. See, I recall my parents listening to Man of Lamancha (sp?)and that wasn't something up my ally. I also recall John Denver's Rocky Mountain High. Carly Simon. In case you haven't figured it out I was born in the early 60's.

Barney. Haha!
Seriously, though. Barney brings back good memories. I'm speaking of the big purple dinosaur, in case there's another Barney I don't know about (:
That and Cindy Lauper's song, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," and "She Bop."

Hi Sweetie,
Christian music sure has changed over the years. I truly don't recall hearing that much on the radio when I was a kid. Of course well all remember the carols of Christmas time. White Christmas, Frosty the Snow Man, Rudolph, I'll Be Home For Christmas. Won't be long now.
Thanks for participating.

My early childhood was in the 1950s and rock & roll featured very prominently.

There is a lot of great music from the 50's. We go to the occassional car show and they are always playing music from that era. Some people still dress in poodle skirts and such attire for the shows.
Thank you for joining in.

I wake up in the mornings to the songs of Patti Paige. I also sang to the tune of The Green Beret, How Much is that Doggy in the Window, and My Way. Gosh, that makes me OLD!!!!

Now now. They say we are only as old as we feel. Okay, so today that is on the negative side for me. But how many of the songs that you grew up with do you still hear on occassion? How many of them have been used in movies, commercials, etc?

There are plenty. I grew up in the 60s and the songs then were as meaningful as one's existence. If you would watch Lion King 3 alone, they used many musical themes from the soundtracks of the past. I couldn't count anymore. There are so many the old grey cells fail to remember.
