Doing HAIR On a dead person.

I dont think I could. Someone asked me to take a picture of a person lying in a coffin, and I couldnt do it.
So I dont think I could do a hair style on a dead person

Wow! I'm not really sure.... I suppose I would feel kind of obligated like you did too. But I think it's great! I have been to funerals where the hairstyle is not the one they wore and it just seems strange. People like to see their loved ones as they were one last time...

Yes, I could. Like you, I would think of it as a tribute. Just something to do for a loyal customer. If I didn't know the person, I don't think I would. But if I were the regular hair dresser, I'd already know what she liked, and maybe I'd feel if the family wanted me to do it, at least I'd know it would be done by someone you know she trusted to get it right.

I could not do anyone's hair after death. I feel grateful for the ones who can. Me, I have to much of a fear of dead people to touch one and do their hair. Not even my family could I touch.

What a wonderful person you are! I do not know if I could do it but I am sure that your customers were smiling at you and blessing you for making them look good in their coffin. I always tell my kids that if they see that I am dying then please remember to get my roots done!

If I could cut hair I would surely do it for my customers when they die. However, I know it would be done with alot of tears in between. I'm sure the first time I did it would be the hardest but as I continued I think it would get easier to accomplish but still with alot of tears.

No, but then I couldn't do it when they were alive either. I'm no good with hair.

I cannot even do hair on a live person. Many funeral parlors offer this service, supposedly. However, when my little sister died, her hair was done badly. My big sister went out and got some clips and re did stuff. I do not remember if she changed the makeup. I felt like my older sister just felt like she needed to do something to be taking part in this last goodbye. I would say bless your heart and hug your neck for being willing to do this for some of your former customers.

hello antiquelady...definitely i won't do that. not beacause i'm scared or anything but i think let's just leave it to the hairdresser of the dead because it's their job and profession anyway.
