I am thanking God for having been spared from more damages brought about by Typhoon Santi. I think this time more people were praying that we be spared from its wrath. More people were aware and was given advance notification to prepare and fedn for themselves. Although Metro Manila was on signal # 3 I hear very few incidents that there were massive floodings in the area. I felt the strong rains and almost got sleepless last night watching if the water would rose again but I am thankful that it did not happen again. I know there were some that also got affected and I pray that they would be spared now that typhoon left us for good.

I agree with you that somehow more people were praying that we be spared from the typhoon and i am so thankful to God, that our prayers were answered. The weather was good yesterday and we were given the chance to pay our respect to our departed ones. I think most of us were happy for yesterday. As for those who are still suffering the wrath brought about by Ondoy and Pepeng, my prayers are with them. How i wish that they be able to start all over again. I wish them good luck and i pray that no more typhoons would come our way, specially now that Christmas is coming.

Yeah me and my family were able to visit our mother in law in the cemetery. Although we were not slightly prepared for that. We were not planning to visit the cemetery if the weather was not fine so we did not buy flowers anymore just candles. When Sunday came the weather was very beautiful contrary to the weather's prediction that it might become rainy. So we just contend to bring in candles which I think is more important than the flowers. I also found that day some kind of spiritual as people are less festive than the other All saint's day celebration. So I think it was a blessing in disguise that we are reminded that only prayers are needed to pay respect for our beloved ones.

The whole Philippines... especially those affected by Ondoy and Pepeng were thankful that Santi left with very little incident... i did not even bring my daughter to the mall for fear that what happened to use during typhoon ondoy might happen again... but when lunch time arrived... the sun started to shine... I guess the Lord headed our prayers... and i am so glad that He did... we need more time to recover from the devastation brought by the first two typhoons...

Yep I am glad that He heard the prayers of the many plus the fact that almost everybody prepared to meet the typhoon. Government seem to be more coordinated with communications, dams were on the watch list and is being reported every now and then. TV stations stops their regular programming to report any possible flooding somewhere else. And individuals braced themselves for it. all of those factors made the passing of the typhoon with less damage. But I heard that in Laguna there were floodings that happened which I think is unavoidable since they are just recovering from Ondoy's flooding so rains would definitely flood them again.

I am thinking of all of my friends in the Philippines. I am glad that you were spared this time when this typhoon came around. It seems there have been so many typhoons this year. Maybe it is normal, and I have just paid more attention since I just got back from there in September. It was my first trip to the Philippines and I found the country to be very unique. The people were very wonderful, and I am glad that I was able to make some friends. Hopefully, friends for life. Take care, and happy myLotting!

I am glad you liked the place. I was saying that from my own experience that I was spared but from what I hear from the news there were nearby towns that got hit badly by the last typhoon that came in here.

Just like you I was almost sleepless during the typhoon and I was really praying so hard. I know God answers pray so I think there is no better thing to do during storms or any calamity but ask God's help. I believe that after that signal number 3 and yet not much destruction was felt, it is all the more that we should pray and thank Him for being merciful enough! God indeed answers prayers

I think when calamities like this happen in our place. God want's us to reconnect with Him and make it a habit so the the blessings will flow continously with us.

Yeah it's true but I just realized from news that there are places that were hit badly by the typhoon. I hope they are recovering by now and I pray that they won't lose hope from it. We were again spared when another one came in it just got dissolve and did not continue on being a typhoon. Thank God for that one.

Yeah I guess the last three typhoons has mad alot of ravages in your place. I guess God has spared your place this time. In my place I guess he did that too despite our being in Signal #3 very minimal damage or there was no damage at all that happened. It was just about a few hours of no power and was restored within the day. For that I am thankful that the typhoon left us pretty soon before it can really make that much damage.

I guess Filipinos are now prepared and learned from the rest of the Typhoon that hits our country. Ondoy will always be remembered since then. There are still places affected by Santi. In Batangas, the are tons of damages. Santi is still dangerous but the difference was people were all warned to prepare for itand done a good job about it. The good thing here we came to face it bravely and prepared.
