Hi book, did your weather take an even nastier turn too when the clocks went back this year? The sea is completely wild today and its taken over the whole beach already and expect by morning it will have taken over the road too. It's a lovely sight except for those who left their cars parked on one particular road where there has been the odd few washed out to sea when the sea turns like this. Brrrr.

we also had two days now with more rain but otherwise the weather is okay here so far. Its dark when I leave home and dark again when I get home from work.....

Of course, I forgot you have a long commute. I'm just glad it is light in the mornings now especially as this foul weather means I'm driving to school every morning as its impossible for my son to walk through the mud lake outside.

It is indeed jb, or he could possibly have been attempting to put the rest of the world on American time and that was just the first step. Probably have all us Europeans going off to work in the middle of the night. And it would be so much more convenient not having to get Gordon out of bed to answer the telephone.

plausible. problem is both of those scenarios require planning ahead slightly. i'm guessing it is far more likely that he had an early appointment that week and just wanted some extra snooze time.

Could be. I actually can't remember which president it was who made the change, and I'd need an American opinion here on how it went down at the time. Suddenly to have the last Saturday in October to be uprooted from its position of an extra hour on the weekends, can't surely have gone down really quietly.
