How To Make A "Good Buy"?

Well, I really do not like to shop much and am pretty content without getting new things often. You made some valid points in considering to purchase. Price, quality, usage. I stay away from fads because they are here today and tomorrow gone so not worth spending the money. Classic styles, nuetral and solid colors that can be mixed and matched easily makes a few pieces look like a large wardrobe.

In food, coupons help, but not if you do not generally buy the product. Some people buy things just because they have a coupon, but then you are purchasing many things that may not be good wholesome food and not a substantial food item. Coupons are good (buy one get one free) for eating out though because two can eat for the price of one.

A rule of thumb I use when tempted to buy something is ask myself do I really need it. I remind myself it is not a bargain, (no matter the price reduction) if I do not need it.

Personally, I believe that purchases can be "good buys" when they serve an immediate purpose and are reasonably priced. I have bought tons of hardware and tools that are on sale and are incredibly priced, so low than the regular amount. I know that although they have no immediate use they might come handy in time. So now I have accumulated lots of stuff that may come handy sometime and don't have a real urgent use. Later I will discover in another sale that there are more newer models coming which are much better, quality wise, and a lot cheaper too.

I am always attracted to cut-down sales that I bought so much that I don't exactly use. So usage and price come together next time I go bargain hunting.

Usually i only buy things which i really want and needed in my urgency. But of course, such mind can't be applied when we want to buy clothes. Clothes has long term period of usage, and can be use for many times. Recently i bought lots of clothes because i only have few chance for shopping due to my crowded working schedule. So when i have one or two days for free, i will go out for shopping. Usually on the first day, i will only hunting without buying so many things, and i will rethink on the night about which thing i want to have and i will ask my boyfriend for sharing this idea about other place for shopping for a similar thing with hope he knows a good place with good price, which i hope it could be cheaper on the first place. Hello. Thee way I buy an item or clothes that I liked I choose the highest tag price and I Surely that the item I bought is Guaranteed.

I do not like to spend alot of money on clothes and usually only buy thins if they are on sale. I am really happy if I see a $3 or $5 sign. I really do need a new pair of shoes for the gym but I am waiting for a sale.

i considered myself a smart buyer bcoz i buy good quality things with a good price....and whats the best buy only things that are needed nah just you want...

My decisions process is do i really want it, can I afford it, if I use a credit card it is something I can pay off quickly, if none of these things apply then I don't buy it.

then I think about the quality of the fabric, the price, the fit and the style,is it classic,can I wear it for more than a year and not look weird, and also the price.If its discounted that encourages me more,does the color flatter me? With food I look for sales of my favorite foods and brands,and do not buy more than I can easily use unless its something I can freeze.Electronics I let my son help there.

hi danity kane: you have mentioned some of the most important things you have to think before buying something. For me, the most important thing is if what you're buying is good enough, if it's really an important thing you want to buy or you can wait and decide to buy this stuff later and if you really can not replace it for something else with the same quality.

I always weigh up how many times I will wear something before I buy anything.Normally I buy clothes for the season it is,fairly cheap then it they last the summer or winter I am happy with that.All our money goes on clothing our son who is sixteen and doing his A-levels as long as he has what he needs we don't much bother about ourselves.He is shooting up like a rocket at the moment so his clothes normally last about six weeks or less,then we have to replace them all as he grows out of them.He is nearly six foot now so we hope he will stop growing soon.!
