How do you deal with rude people?Patient or not?

I try to be as nice as possible even when people are giving me an attitude. If me being as nice as possible and changing my tone doesn't help then I just give up and usually walk away or lose my temper a bit with that person and then I leave. I figure there is no point in trying to deal with someone that is being rude. It's better to just walk away then to allow them to think you'll stand there and take their behavior.

I try to be as respectful as I can possibly be as some people may be rude and not even realize that or might be having a bad day. However, if it gets to the point that someone is being demeaning or degrading or just totally disrespectful, I tell them that I hope that they have a good day and go about my way. If someone that alters their behavior to meet someone at a level beneath whom they are, then they are compromising their self as a human being. And no one that is rude or belligerent is worth the compromise of a person's self worth.

I try but I do tell them I think it is rude or not and if If was and was not aware of it I would appoligize. Sometimes it is hard to be patient but it is best to try.

Rude people were always rude,unless they will accept others opinion.
But in my views,rude people cannot or will never accept other's opinion since they thought they are the only right person in the making.

In my view,it is better to avoid any argument with rude person,becoz,i believed there is not good result with debating to such kind of people.

it depends upon how rude he is....if i can take his rude i just ignore and be patient but if his too much will i tell him if he knows what his talking about and who is he talks like that ....il nah answer him in rude way too coz im nah like him...

I do my best to escape the situation. If that's not possible, I usually quietly but firmly let the person know I didn't like it and won't tolerate any more rudeness.

well, if you get rude with rude people it will be fight. Try pissing them off. Stay calm and smile at them while talking. It will really piss them. Rude people always want to fight. Don't give them one.

No, it is not easy for me to be patient and stay polite. Usually I will answer him/her, but unfortunately, I can't shout So although I'm really angry, my tone still soft.. At the end, I will leave that person. For me, better to walk away and stay away from rude person. There's no point in debating with them (but sometimes I wanna defend myself) since they always think that they are right..

My reaction would vary under different circumstances - Is it a friend, an acquaintance, a stranger? - is he/she being rude to me, just plain offensively rude, or rude towards someone else? - is he/she being rude by using offensive talk? - or a variety of other situations.

A small part of me would be offended and want to hit back and/or to correct offensive behaviour. A large part of me would not want to lower myself to his/her standard or to offend in like manner.

How to accommodate the two? Sometimes, a sweet, gentle, friendly reply, complimenting the person, but with a slight hint of a rebuke will accomplish both. This is especially true if it is a personal affront.

If the person is using rude and offensive language, I will most definitely voice my opinion, but do so quietly and politely, without stooping to their level.

If the person is being rude to someone else, and I know that person, I will step in and do what I can - again, quietly and politely.

I might not always control myself enough to do this, but it would be my aim, and it usually works.

I just be as nice as I can, until I can't take it anymore, depends on the situation I suppose.
