What is the fastest way to earn money writing articles online?

I really don't want another job...after I get through this fast money I want for Christmas, that is.... I really prefer the ongoing residual income of the sites like Associated Content and ehow.

I do have a book planned though... that's another story...

I just discovered the Helium Marketplace but now have to get the badges so I qualify for writing there.

Would you mind telling my why Helium is your favorite?

Sierra, in my opinion, I don't like Helium and I notice not many people like them and here is why. The pay for per articles that you submit are much more less than what a site called Associated Content pay for upfront. As it wsa stated on Helium, with one star, you get only fifty cents for United States Dollar. The articles that I do get for upfront are usually in the $2-$3 range.
One guy who comes on here got his $25 from Helium but it took him about a whole year to get that amount since you need to accumulate that much in order to get that payment. Helium isn't very good for writers to write at in order to make money in my opinion.

Helium is like every other website that you want to make money on. The more you work at it, the more you can make.

Associated Content's upfront article pay varies. There are many types of articles that AC won't accept for upfront payments. Helium doesn't make upfront payments but instead has a marketplace that pays a decent price for articles, if accepted.

Looking at just residual income, Helium pays higher than AC's ppv system.

Perhaps the biggest difference between the two, is that Helium is all about competition. This competition has made me a better writer and also helped me to learn better techniques for writing on the web.

I ventured into the online word of writing through Helium and actually sold my first published article there. It was what started my writing career. So yeah, I am sentimental about Helium. I won't say that it is for everyone either. I encourage everyone to check it out for themselves. Everyone has their own writing style and not every writing website will fit every writer.

I want to add when I mean published, I mean a publisher bought my article and used it on their website.

One other reason I love Helium is because they have expert writers that help when starting out. They mentor the new writers and give advice on their writing to help them become better.
