What Do You Think of People Who Have Huge Amounts of Babies?  |

 What do you think of people who have 12 babies or more? As a mom of three kids I think it is kind of crazy. I have my hand full with the 3. Kids need individual attention. I find days when my kids will need a little extra attention or will have individual problems, and I need to spend a good amount of time dealing with that, and I have good well adjusted kids. I don't see how someone who has 12 kids could possibly give that kind of attention to each kid when they need it. I also think that the older children end up not having lives of their own because they are too busy helping their parents raise all of their children.

| 1. misspseudonym (8) | 3 weeks ago |  I agree with you.I think it is irresponsible of parents to have this many children in this day and age.Children now days are expensive and time consuming if they are well taken care of.I also agree that it isn't fair to a 15 year old child to have 6 brothers and sisters (if not more) to help raise.I also don't see how they can afford this.Child support for ONE infant is over 1000 these days.If people have 6 children and work at walmart they clearly arent making 6000 a month!Where is this money coming from???If it is coming from the government then the government should be able to limit the number of children you can have, if you cant afford it.

If parents don't have enough money to raise so many children they should be less irresponsible and use common sense. A lot of work shy parents tend to keep having babies for the extra income so I think governments should assist with one child then after that the parents should have to support families themselves regardless of their income. That would stop work shy people from using babies as a way to milk the benefit system.

There is no way a mother and Father could raise these kids alone.. I also feel that in the long run the kids may end up resenting there parents because they never did get that individual attention that kids need.. Listen with all the fertility drugs out there I understand that there are possibilities that you will end up with multiple kids.. But if you are pregnant with 6 kids I say those six kids are enough to raise.. Unless you already have kids before them then its out of your hands..

| 5. twoey68 (9609) | 3 weeks ago |  Personally I think their nuts but if they can handle them and the kids are well cared for then I think they should have how ever many they want. Two opposite cases are the Octomom and the Duggar family.
Octomom had like 4 kids then went and had like 8 more. She's a single mom with no job already struggling to take care of the kids she had.
In the case of the Duggar family, they have 19 kids. All the kids are homeschooled, clean, healthy, the family is financially stable(with no debt) so I think their doing a great job.
I'd say Octomom is probably going to be lucky to keep her kids and raise them but the I think the Duggar family should have as many as they want as long as they can support and care for them.

I also don't see how the parents could possibly attend to every one of those kids emotional needs. There is so much more the finances and cleanliness when it comes to parenting. For me, raising children is more than a career and profession. We have to attend to their individual needs. Managing 3 children is already tiring, what more if it's a bunch of children? I don't know if those kind of parents are thinking about the future of their babies.
