What time do you have dinner? |
|
My mother in law always cooks the evening meal ready for 4pm. My parents had their dinner at 6pm ever since I remember. My husband and I? Well, somewhen between 8pm and 10pm usually. Depends when we are finished working - we are both a little bit work-a-holics!

taraelocin (223) | 2 months ago | Luckily I don't work shifts, nor does my husband. But we work so ridiculously long hours that our dinner time still has to be flexible.

2. lala501 (799) | 2 months ago | Well at my house it's pretty much random when we have our dinner. We usually try to have it before 9:00, but sometime we'll have it around 10:00 or 10:30. We have never had an exact time like your stepmother or your parents.

taraelocin (223) | 2 months ago | It's supposedly not good to have dinner so late. But it's the same in our house. It's just not always feasible to have dinner early when both partners are working.

taraelocin (223) | 2 months ago | I guess weekends are different anyway - you have more time on your hands then.

taraelocin (223) | 2 months ago | Sometimes I am home before my husband and am really hungry. Then I have dinner earlier and warm it up for him. I usually eat again though when he is home...

6. randylovesdar (640) | 2 months ago | We eat dinner between 8:30 and 9:00PM during the week and Satudays and Sundays we wat at 7:00PM. It does depend on what time my husband gets home from work and if he wants to rest first before we eat.

taraelocin (223) | 2 months ago | It seems that more people eat as late as we do. I thought most people would eat at "more reasonable hours"!

7. jesssp (1257) | 2 months ago | When I was a kid dinner was always, ALWAYS, at six. It was just the way the world worked to me, I couldn't imagine it being any other way! Now that I'm all grown up and am the one responsible for dinner it's usually around 7 or 8. By the time I get home from work and get things going it would be almost impossible to make it by 6.

|
taraelocin (223) | 2 months ago | My point exactly. I try to cook fresh and healthy. And that makes it even later. But I still get hungry at 6 - it is what I grew up with!!

| 8. jerusalemreggie87 (66) | 2 months ago | Here in the Philippines, we usually took an evening meal or dinner when 6pm strikes. It is said to be the correct time to have a dinner together. But since schedules is never cooperating on us, we are taking a dinner somewhen around 8-9pm. My stomach is always groan harder when I'm not eating on time. Plus, my mother got finally finished cooking before 9pm strikes. We had only 30 minutes to spend on eating together & after that, we are back to whatever we're doing for awhile like watching TV.=)

taraelocin (223) | 2 months ago | 6pm is probably a healthy time for dinner. But as you say, it doesn't always work that way!
