Writing articles for Associated Content... |
|
Im debating on starting to write some articles for Associated Content, but i do wonder if there is any specific rules beside for thier general guidelines, you must credit source, no rewrite and content must be unique.
Therefore i ask my fellow MyLotters, who also may be at Associated Content; Would it be allowed to write articles which would be like various tutorials for games, drawing animals or other kind of tutorials?

Downwindz (211) | 4 weeks ago | Im also a non US resident, but i believe i should be able to write some good articles and just make the earnings from the page views. I have a lot of subjects where i have a large knowledge i should be able to share.

2. owlwings (5103) | 4 weeks ago | I think tutorials would be fine. Why don't you try Squidoo, though? Associated Content don't pay and your articles are free for anyone to use. Take almost any article there (not too recent) and paste a couple of distinctive-looking sentences into Google between between double quotes. You will very likely see pages and pages of results.
In Squidoo you create 'lenses' (really a way of linking articles on the same subject together). You can include up to three hyperlinks and pictures, videos or what have you. The payment on Squidoo is nothing spectacular (it is decided by page views, I believe) but it IS payment and you won't find your article copied all over the web as you may well do with AC.
There are some advantages on publishing with AC if you want to be widely read. Anyone who uses your writing is supposed to keep your links and profile intact and must not edit the content. Some people don't observe these rules, however.
There's a very good Squidoo Resource Guide here: http://www.potpiegirl.com...

owlwings (5103) | 4 weeks ago | Maybe I misread Associated Content when I was last there a day or so ago: perhaps they do pay? I would imagine, though, that Squidoo is about on a par with them - and it seems to me a more friendly site.
Something else that's worth looking at might be Redgage: http://www.redgage.com/ .
There's a Squidoo article on how Redgage can be used here: http://www.squidoo.com/redgage

Downwindz (211) | 4 weeks ago | Hello Owlwings
Thank you so much for your information, this is certainly very useful for me. As far as i understand AC will pay for amount of pageviews once a month, if you have reached theier minimum payout of $1.5
I believe it could be worth to join several article sites which are paying, and then rewrite your own articles to suit each site individually. This will ofcause take some time, but it should pay off in the long run.
The two other sites you have mentioned i have never heard of before, i shall try look into those aswell.

As long as you are not plagiarizing, any topic is welcomed. There are different categories to choose from. I am going to take a small break from AC, because I wanna concentrate on blogging as well as my real work outside. I will, though come back each time to check on things or read friends work.
