Have you ever had an abusive boss? If so in what way?

i had one boss who was how he talked to his employees. he would say the nstiest things. then one day when my truck broke down because i lost my breaks and after i got it to stop i apply the parking breaks, well he got calling me all these band names over the company radio and in return i told him i refuse to sit there and allow him to call me those name so i gave it back to him.
of course i didnt have a job after that.

Oh yes. An old vet and his wife. This was about two years ago and he was very rude, very short with people and would not listen to anyone else's point of view.
Instead of saying something nicely, he would always snap at his staff.
His wife wasn't much better. She thought she was the bee's knees.
On day she told me off for something and I just burst into tears and started yelling at her. I told her how rude and nasty both she and her husband are to their staff and I just kept going..I told her everything that had been bothering me and in the end she was trying to get away fromme but I kept following her and screaming at her! It was fantastic. Then I quit and walked out.
My fellow staff members told me how much of a hero I was because I changed things for them when I quit. I say don't let people boss you around- no one has the right to make you feel like rubbish.
