Have you ever worked for someone who was abusive towards you? What way? Was it in words or actions?

i had one boss who was how he talked to his employees. he would say the nstiest things. then one day when my truck broke down because i lost my breaks and after i got it to stop i apply the parking breaks, well he got calling me all these band names over the company radio and in return i told him i refuse to sit there and allow him to call me those name so i gave it back to him. of course i didnt have a job after that.

i was glad because i refuse to take that anyone, i had this other as a truck driver too and the dispatcher was a jerk. he tried and tried to get me upset and i just laughed at him. then i had hurt my back at work and i was told by doctors to wear a back brace until my back felt better so of course the dispatcher refuse to let me go on my run until i had my brace on and told him i felt better and dont need it. well to make along story short i didnt work there anymore but was sent to a different company and was hired but the dispatcher was such a jerk (i was a contract driver) he told my big boss that i made a racest comment to his son, he was white as well. yeah stuipd

Oh yes. An old vet and his wife. This was about two years ago and he was very rude, very short with people and would not listen to anyone else's point of view. Instead of saying something nicely, he would always snap at his staff. His wife wasn't much better. She thought she was the bee's knees. On day she told me off for something and I just burst into tears and started yelling at her. I told her how rude and nasty both she and her husband are to their staff and I just kept going..I told her everything that had been bothering me and in the end she was trying to get away fromme but I kept following her and screaming at her! It was fantastic. Then I quit and walked out. My fellow staff members told me how much of a hero I was because I changed things for them when I quit. I say don't let people boss you around- no one has the right to make you feel like rubbish.

Sometimes it takes a drastic measure..like you quitting.. to shake people up and bring them into their senses.
