I prefer the people who tracks the post he/she started！！！  

I also like people who keeps track of the post he/she has started and gives a response. Unfortunately now days, I have seen even senior members of Mylot are not responding. Of late, I have seen a bunch of people, having a discussion only with a set of their own, and they do not even bother to answer to responses given by us. Of course they have their own useless conversations between themselves. I wonder how Mylot is keeping these kind of people.

Hello Mac_fish and welcome to my lot. I think it is why we should write discussions. If you write a discussion and don't follow it then what is the purpose of writing in the first place? That is my out look on a discussion, if I don't think the comment is worth a comment then I won't put one on there or if I don't have the same thought I might not respond. I only really respond to a response if it has value and content in that response that pertains to what I wrote. I love this site I am learning so much from everyone. Have a great day!

Do you mean the starter comment back to his responders? I think everyone should acknowledge those who responded to their discussions by comment to them. I try to give my reply to everyone who responded to my discussions.

I like it when a person follows their posts as well, when they respond and comment back and keep a conversation going. I've got a lot of discussions of mine I need to work on though, I will admit.

I guess I'm sort of guilty of not following all of the responses, but there are times that the responses are just interesting to read and there's not much to add; and at times dislike when people simply say "thanks for your response" over and over again on every single response.

mac!! Yes, I heartily agree that it is very nice to get a comment when you have bothered to answer to a discussion.. otherwise , how is it a discussion?? If you say something to me and I don't answer?? Rather a strange joke isn't it? It is an indication to me that I dropped in for my penny! and not for the dialogue.. so hence it really is NOT a discussion, unless I, as a responder, jump in somewhere and discuss with YOU and maybe even another responder. LIKE I HAVE JUST DONE HERE!!

However.. and there is this little thing that bothers me and I sometimes do not answer.. if the responder says something in total jumble, or it is a silly..line.. ' like *I AGREE*( which is nothing to discuss) or .. and this has happened to me.. the response has nothing to do with my discussion. Someone just read the headline and offered his thought just to make the penny.. and THAT, I think, is pure laziness.

SO.. mac.. lets keep going, you and me, and do the best we can.. right?

I like the people who tracks the post they started. For me, I will keep tracks the post I started, but not in an immediate manner. When I started a discussion, I will see the responded people and basically I will give every response who leave the comment on my post. For the discussion that other posted, if they responded my comment, basically if the topic is the one I am interested, I will keep the back and forth response.
