My computer got a virus.......

You should have your antivirus remove the virus. That's what they are for right?

I recommend downloading AVG anti virus. It is free and will completely scan your computer and remove any nasties

If you can run your updated antivirus, it will be best. If the antivirus system files are not working and got corrupted then you may have to download an antivirus. Try to download and install avg free from any other computer and run it in safe mode.

I'm going to suggest that, in addition to what everyone else is telling you to do, you also get Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware or other programs that remove malware and spyware. Sometimes virus-scans seem to miss less dangerous but still annoying spyware and malware programs.

forget about avira,uninstall it for a while.install quick heal 2009 and then do native scan,it is not computer scan,it is system scan.find this option and scan it,your pc will restart and system scan will start after that.after you have done with native scan then do spyware check this option is also available and then whole computer scan.after you have done with whole procedure check virus is removed or not,there is no chance for the virus to exist.then remove quick heal if you not want to use it and install what do you want.bi chance if it is still there then search on microsoft help site to fix it.

I think you have to format it and upload the the back up files which you had taken from the system before formatting.. then go to internet and buy a anti virus and update that ... to to scan all files and find the virus and delete using anti virus software..

Avira is good antivirus, i think it should remove the virus if not you can online virus scanners of trend micro virus scanner.You can remove the virus then you can also install software like malwarebytes and spybot search & destroy. This will help you in long run to save yourself from spyware,malware and virus.

Buy antivirus software and install it after installing you must update the antivirus then you can scan your whole computer if virus are found heal that,If antivirus can not find any virus still you think your computer affects by virus better you format your system.
