Are you friends with your sister in law?

Yes I have the similar situation with my soon to be sister in law (husbands sister). We just don't click I guess. We have nothing in common and our conversations are so forced its weird. Its easier for me to just shoot her an email then have to have a real conversation with her. Maybe try a few new activities together go shopping or something. You may then find something you have in common.

I have 2 brothers and sister, we are all married. The Wife of my older brother is very close to me, but my younger brother's wife not much, but maybe because we didn't really get the chance to know each other very well! As for my sister's husband, he's okay and he's been in the family for a very long time, he was married to my sister for 24 years now, I think! And as for my Husband's sister, I only met her few times and it also because we are living far away from them, but we still talk on skype every now and then, so I'd say we're good.

hello aileen, i have two sister in laws from my elder brothers but i am not entirely close to them since they have their own mind set of interest. i think one of down below mine and one is higher intelligent than mine. they're both alright and accommodating

I get along fine with my sister in law. But I do have to say that I think you should reach out to welcome her to the family. This is what I have done with my sister in law. We want her to feel comfortable since she is part of the family now.

we have the same situation here,i'm not close to my husband's sister because she seems that she is still controlling my husband..

Welcome to mylot my friend, i don't have a sister in law, i am talking of sister of my wife, here in india we call sister of wife as -'sali', we are permitted to cut jokes with her, it is a sort of sweet relation, wish i would have one.

I think that I am very lucky, because I really like my brother's girlfriend and my husband's sister. My brother is not married, but his girlfriend and him have been together for several years, and it feels like she is a part of our family. He has had other girlfriends before, and I got along with most of them, but I like his current girlfriend the most. She is much younger than me, and we don't have a lot in common, but I like her personality very much, and I think that she is a very nice person. My husband's sister is 33 years old just like me, we also get along just fine, and I like her very much.
