Should I Start Pawning My Electronics To Make Extra Money?

I think that pawning your electronics and other appliances can be one of the last resort but it may not be the best choice. I think that a good start would be to cut some of the expenses on entertainment and other forms of expenses that we really don't need when we receive our paychecks. But if it is needed to pay some bills, then it would be good to sell and not pawn because pawnshops ask for higher interest. I hope that we can really map out a plan for us to survive in this time of economic crisis.

I suppose each case is different ppersaud. I´m a widow and for me my husband´s death was (besides the grief) a mayor economic problem. So I discovered how to live frugally and enjoy it. I never had the chance to buy any of the electronics you mentin. I don´t even have a cell phone because I discovered that it was quite expensive to use it. My computer has ages and I have no money for a laptop (so I don´t desire it).But I pay my bills on time and don´t use credit. I can´t afford it.
Still I have some luxuries. All the money I earn online is for vacations. I love to travel and working hard at the computer I can get more that $100 a month. I have learned to make cooking wonders with leftovers and at my house everything is recycled.
Secons hand gadgets are worth next to nothing. Why don´t you try (first) thinking how you could spend less money? Did you know that it´s a lot cheaper to buy a pound of bean to soak and boil than to buy them canned? Here at mylot there´s an interest called "frugal living". It´s full of good ideas.

If that is a persons very last resort and if it means the difference between having food and a roof over your head or not, then this is some thing they may have to do.
