Made A Sale On My Squidoo Lens  |

 I use to use Squidoo a fair bit but never really made much money. Money wasn't the goal though. The main goal was to get indexed quickly and to link to my money making pages.
For me it's all about generating quality clicks through to my sites.
I went into Squidoo last week and found that I needed to do some work and almost immediately my traffic picked up again.
I guess I better get in there and update my other lenses.

| 1. evelyntan (57) | 3 weeks ago |  Hmm I don't use Squidoo. I've read a few Squidoo sites though and they just look like a regular blog except perhaps the content. I blog though and I have Adsense in my blog. I think I make more money there than I would in Squidoo, but I can't say for sure lol

 WebMann (2768) | 3 weeks ago | Using Squidoo you can get backlinks to your blogs which will help with your pagerank but also you will get more visitors if your lenses have good content.
So for me it's not about making money in Squidoo but more getting the links and traffic back to my blogs. That's where I make the money from Squidoo, it's in the traffic I get. | |

| WebMann (2768) | 3 weeks ago | That's an important point about Squidoo and blogs for that matter. Your traffic doesn't always come directly from your own pages but from the listings and comments on other lenses and blog.
If someone adds to the post or lens I will usually take a look at their link and once I get there they have a targeted visitor most likely. | |

I always notice an increase in traffic when I update and add content to my lenses. You should put a link to your Squidoo profile in your MyLot profile so all your friends can visit your Squidoo lenses. Get some traffic back and forth. I use Squidoo as one of my money makers and like MyLot, it's really enjoyable for me to use and create content on. [;-) | |

| 5. photobug (129) | 3 weeks ago |  Yes, I use Squidoo and have 40 lenses. I started out making lenses on subjects I like. Sometimes I got a lot of traffic and other times I didn't. I sure haven't made much from Squidoo's Google Ads. The most I ever made in one month was $5. They have changed the ad system and I don't care for the link ads at all (the underlined links in green). I've removed them from all my lenses. I haven't decided about the Glamour ads. I may remove them, too.
I have a personal blog which I link to, but I need to concentrate on making one or two money-making blogs to link to. I like Squidoo because you can be so creative - photos, videos, clip art, borders, etc. Some Squidoo lenses aren't that great, but others are fantastic and I've learned a lot from them. These lenses inspire me to get better, but I'm afraid I'm spending too much time trying to improve existing lenses and not creating new ones.

| WebMann (2768) | 3 weeks ago | Wow PhotoBug 40 lenses is a lot of lenses. I would remove as much as I can and not even bother with the little amount of income Squidoo pays you. For me it's about affiliate marketing and just getting people to read my articles.
I don't want them reading an article and then leaving my page because they clicked on an ad that earns me 2 cents. I would rather them read my article and click through to my sites without any distractions. | |

| 6. eclecticeducation (101) | 1 week ago |  I love Squidoo!!! I have over a 100 lenses there. I use it mainly for my homeschool stuff, but I am starting to branch out in other areas. Congratulations on your sale. My sales were starting to pick up there, but now they have leveled off. Hopefully they will pick up as we near Christmas.
