How can one quit biting nails? Many of them have this habit...

I hate this habit of biting nails always really it irritates a lot. I don't know how one can get rid of this habit. Really biting, biting, there will be no nail like it will be deeply cut inside....what all the dirt is there in the fingers will go in to the stomach...it again brings many problems....One of my family member have this habit i tried a lot like when ever I see I keep warning that not to but the very next second again the finger will be in the mouth. Does any one of u too have this problem...please do leave it....thank u...have a nice day.........
