How to do copy and paste things on Mylot?

Highlight the text you want to copy then right click it and click copy.
Put the cursor where you want the text to go then right click and click paste.

Make sure you follow the guidelines regarding using other peoples work as using C&P too much may be seen as cheating.

I use it for links and very small sections of text and I always include a link to the original content and also put the copied text in quote marks and italics.

To copy and paste, you would highlight what you want to copy on the other site, press ctrl+c, and then to paste, you come back to the mylot box and press ctrl+v, is that what you were asking?

It is a very simple thing. ctrl+c and ctrl+v. or choose what you want to copy and right click you mouse.

hi there, i never copy and paste on mylot, once i could not paste on mylot, i asked my friend who introduced mylot to me, he said that i could not copy and paste on myylot since i only come here not long and less than 200 postings. i have to post more to get a level, so i could paste here. but from some your responses, i think he was wrong.

If you reach 500 posts copy and past is allowed by mylot.you already reached 500 posts so you can use ctr+c and ctr+v.

Don't even ask how many volunteers I had on here trying to get me to use it. I did manage to copy and paste a response which was long so I could see it whilst I replied but despite everyones help here, long and painful, my ten year old actually showed me how to do it in the end. I still can't copy and paste links though so simply never use them.

How do you gets points and that little star thing next to your name? Is it just the number of posts you have? Also, what does it mean and what changes with each number you get in it? Does text that you paste into mylot count towards the length of your post? That seems like it would be too easy lol. Cheers!
