Are you good in taking photographs? |
|
My uncle gave me an unexpected gift last January-a digital camera. My family never owned a camera-since eversince. So, I never really have any idea how much the filmed camera cost. I was caught by surprised when my uncle e-mailed me and told me about his gift. Oh well, when I received it, that was the moment that I started getting involved in so much pictures. I find it very fascinating. And at some point amusing. I took pictures of places, people and some pets. Then, when I started uploading those pictures, a friend gave me a picture editing software-and that's the beginning of my obsessions in taking pictures. I've always love to put some effects on the pictures and I try to transform them from nothing to something. And I must tell you, it is awesome. Especially when you start mixing photos and all that. Well, I'm not so good at it. But ever since I got involved with this picture taking habit, I always take time to give some effort in this work.

1. fiazio (359) | 2 months ago | Yes, I have a old yashika fx 3 3000 SLR camera, the feel of the "heavy" camera is what makes me like it. Its very heavy compared to a digital because of the mechanical parts inside its about 35 year old now. I have another Olympus u1010 10 megapixel which is not very good, but is pretty normal, nothing extra ordinary here.
to edit, I use adobe Photoshop, the best software out there for editing pictures, every photographer should know how to use it.
You should really upload some of your work, search deviantart, and in that search fiazio. you should see some of my pictures

invisiblelady (185) | 2 months ago | really? yeah... when I got my digital, I was so happy. But then, I realized it's not that good. It's also an olympus. I'm still hoping that I can buy myself a bigger camera. I don't know what's it called...but maybe you know:) I'll check on your pictures. Thanks

fiazio (359) | 2 months ago | The bigger one is DSLR .. digital slr, those are the ones that give a great picture. The reason probably behind that is camera control, the one that i get in the fx 3, i can change every setting in that camera, but in a digital one there are limitations. try getting a perfect focus with a digital camera its not that easy, also doesn't come perfect its after all a machine. But with DSLR you can get the perfect shutter speed, ISO settings manual focusing which gets the best picture

|
|
invisiblelady (185) | 2 months ago | that's really the problem. the picture is not that accurate. sometimes, it's blurry or dark. sometimes there is too much light. and at those times, i really get frustrated and wishing that i could acquire one that is good-like those cameras that pro photographers use. but i guess, it's so expensive. so i just have to stick with what i have. Gee!
| |
|
|
fiazio (359) | 2 months ago | Actually there are ways where you can get better, un blurry pictures with any digital camera, by going to customize, change the ISO to the max that will help it getting less blurry images
| |
|
|
invisiblelady (185) | 2 months ago | really? maybe you can give me more tips.. i think you have more knowledge than i do. and of course, i admit, i don't really know that much. thanks thanks thanks!
| |
|
|
fiazio (359) | 2 months ago | You should just google photography iso, ISO is the sensitivity of the image sensor on a digital camera. When Iso is low, there is more light images come less noisy but when the camera is shaked the blurry thing comes in.
With an high ISO, is often used for sports events where there are fast moving objects, this will get you noisy image, but there will be no blurryness. Noise can be removed with photo shop. You should also consider watching lynda's photoshop cs 4 essential training to get the full potential of what it can do. Best of luck

3. miiszheiress (103) | 2 months ago | Even if you don't have own a DSLR you can still have a great outcome from your point-and-shoot camera. Although I do want to have a DSLR but since it is very expensive I find ways to make a good picture out of my point-and-shoot digital camera or even my camera phone. I'm not saying I am good but I do get my inspiration from browsing sites that involved photography such as deviantart and flickr (to name a few).
Good luck on your new found love. Oh! And maybe you can share some of your photos too.

invisiblelady (185) | 2 months ago | Yeah. I'm going to share it when my laptop is fixed. All my photo shoots were saved there and it is now broken. I am kind of disappointed. So for now, I have to take more pictures and study other picture editors.. Thanks!

invisiblelady (185) | 2 months ago | What's the megapixel of your cam? I wish to have a cam that shots the real view. I mean, one that can take even if it's night. A camera that has a good flash. Mine is not that good especially at night.

10. skysuccess (2431) | 2 months ago | invisiblelady,
I am sure your enthusiasm is understandable here and let me assure you that once you are really hooked - you can be sure that your pictures will turn out better with experience and practice, of course.
You may want to join a local photography club to share your new found interests and pick up invaluable tips from the experienced and/or professionals in there. Sharing pictures with various appraisals and criticisms will also enhance your learning.
You may also want to read up online on digital photography or books from the libraries. Just pace yourself and I am sure this interest may be your hobby for the rest of your life.
Have a nice day.
