Wallstreet gets H1N1 while others are left to wait!

Hey I posted it in the wee hrs here give me some credit;0)

I hear ya I have to call and ask about applying for that. My usual problem is getting hubby to get a duplicate SSN Card, I can't do it for him ya know?!? I bet they can't imagine keeping their thermostat as less than 70 when temps dip down... many of us do know how that rolls. Shoot my Aunt keeps hers @ 60! But they use their fire place alot instead of the furnace.

i keep mine at 60 too except the worst of the worst days in winter.
while gas is cheaper than oil,believe me it doesn't feel as much when the bill comes.basically $2000 vs $600.

I hear ya! If our house was upgraded I would keep it lower then 66-68 (when hubby isn't home or paying attention). But our house does need alot of upgrades to the point a neighbor gave us some extra plastic for the outside of the windows and I went outside one day in winter to check on the gutters and I saw this big balloon by one window confirmed what I already suspected with having a fixer-upper... I"m heating the great outdoors & in the summer I"m cooling the great outdoors.

i'll tell you a funny thing about replacement windows tho-try to do them all at once.i replaced half (there's over 30 odd size windows)and now,the old let in a breeze,and the new keep it in.
nasty surprise on me.

Sadly it's not a joke. Yeah I don't like that idea..... There need to be some rules across the board on this. I commented to the school district nurse about making the seasonal flu shots mandatory for the kids & she said it would be nice but people could still opt out of it... I'm assuming that would be the religious folks who don't belive in their vaccines for their kids.

I don't have religious reasons for refusing flu shots, I think it is just common sense to refuse them. My children are grown now but have never had a flu shot and never get the flu. They've each had it once in their lives and passed it to me and that's the only time we have ever had the flu. I got them their immunizations against childhood diseases, that makes sense to me. But the flu? Nope, no way. I will not compromise my or their immune systems that way.

With nothing to fight, our systems will be helpless when disease does strike. With no antibodies developed due to all our hand washing and immunizing, we'll be in real trouble if a new disease comes along.

I hope you and your children don't get the flu, though.

So far that I am aware of the Girl Scout troop leader's kids were all sick for 2 weeks with it. The other troop leader who does in-home child care her child care kids have it. But those are the only ones I know of personally. My kids haven't gotten it yet. We have gotten the flu two years in a row so my kids have had the seasonal flu shot but not the H1N1. I don't think we'll get that one though seeing that this flu strain is "new" & they already have a vaccine for it? Seems a lil too speedy to me.
