Ft. Hood, TX. Our military is not safe even in their own bases and barracks on our own soil. Why?
Item: On you-tube, Barack Hussein Obama identifies and declares himself a Muslim, speaking flawlessly of Allah.
Item: Executive Order #1, 1/09, Obama declares himself exempt from the FOIA, his records sealed. Executive Order #2. 1/26/09 Obama issues order allowing thousands of Palestinians, known Hamas sympathizers to immigrate to US on taxpayer dollars, free food, housing, transportation.
Item: Obama's DOJ co-conspirator Eric Holder refuses to prosecute Black Panther TERRORISTS who blocked Phila. voters from exercising their right to vote (witnessed by at least 10 independent lawyers).
Item: Obama's DOJ minion Holder goes after AZ sheriff Joe Arpaio who tries to protect our borders and arrests criminal illegal aliens; he's told not to do his job.
Item: Obama leaves our borders unprotected, wants amnesty for illegals
Item: Obama announces to the world that America is a Muslim nation
Item: Obama refused to honor national day of prayer for Judeo-Christians. He celebrates Muslims and Ramadan at the White House instead.
At Ramadan, Obama is missing from the White House.
Does anyone see a pattern here which includes aiding, abetting and giving comfort to those who wish jihad on America? Ft. Hood misery overlooked as Obama gives a political shoutout instead; then gives scant notice to the terrorism at Ft. Hood.

Said it before, I'm saying it again. He should be pitched out of office, arrested & tried for treason, convicted on the wealth of evidence, hauled onto a firing range & stood up against a wall...& as all traitorous dogs in the U.S. are, shot.

What is everyone waiting for? To be arrested in their own homes by this monster? Why is this evil man not yet taking his dirt nap?

Spall, there's plenty, & I've neither the time nor patience to repeat it all. If you want to read my plentiful posts re this matter, by all means, feel free to visit my profile, both for posts I've begun, & those I've joined.

As for the bold type, I began using it when I was going blind with cataracts, & even though my eyes have since been fixed, I still find it easier to see, especially when my eyes are tired, which they are right now, as I've been on most of the day, trying to up my payout, & have a bit of fun. But... yawn...bed is whispering to me... sleepwink

Maggiepie, wonderful, insightful response. You speak truth as opposed to the imposter as in "you lie." Pray for O, Psalm 109:8. Also, Proverbs says, "The unjust tyrant will reap disaster and his reign of terror will end."Also, especially at Thanksgiving, praise the Lord and give thanks. The battle is ultimately His. As in Chronicles, "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked ways, and seek my face, then I will heal their land." It is my hope that he will reign terror on those who so easily dispense it and preserve and save a remnant.

this is a new information for me. it is always nice to know the other side of issue. i think terror will not solve the terror problem. the terror from within is more debilitating. it is more scary and dangerous than terror from without. but i believe the americans are prepared to any eventuality. and that is what makes america greater.

I sincerely hope you're right. Fact is, we have seen signs of awakening in Americans, as the evil being perpetuated upon us by those now in power, especially, is going full bore trying to kill off our all our freedoms. The questions now are, are there enough willing to become engaged, & is it too late anyway?

That is actually our worst fear, though terrorists are part of that.

It is a terrible thing what is happening. Epicure, I have ranted and raved on here since July, trying to get people to see what is happening in our country.

Last week, my youngest son was effectively declared dead. His liver enzymes went as high as 20,000. (30 is normal!) He was an angry young man...not living right. I asked God to not take him unless he was ready to go. I asked God to wrap him in LOVE...my son was put on a helicopter and flown to St. Louis...Barnes Jewish Hospital...where there are liver specialists. They placed him on the transplant list and told us to prepare for the worst. I knew my son was not ready to face God...and I asked just for time, time for him to get right with his maker. My son said to me...Is this what love feels like? Cause I can feel it all over me! Four days later he was sent to the medical floor from ICU...and his liver enzymes kept falling back towards normal. What am I trying to say here? Our country has collectively been 'not living right' for many years. We are in the death throes brought on by our willfull and greedy ways. We are reaping what we have collectively sown. There are those who understand this...and are seeking God through prayer. Just like we did for my son. There are those who still refuse to see that what you sow, what you plant in your lifetime...you will reap upon death. As sad as it makes me....no matter who is sitting in the White House...God is warning ALL of us that the harvest is upon us and we are reaping what we have sown.

I will continue to warn those who do not see this...but as I had to place my son in God's hands...and accept that he might die, I have to do the same for my country. Pray epicure...for those who are not ready to die, that they might be prepared to see the face of God.

Addendum: It has just come on the internet that Obama and Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano, (another liar who said there was no border problem in AZ, her state with the highest kidnapping rate in Phoenix) have appointed two "devout Muslims" to Homeland Security. Doesn't that just make you feel warm and fuzzy?
What is wrong with Americans that they can't see the writing on the wall.
mensab, the terror within and without is the same jihad groups that have been allowed to infiltrate our country and been aided, abetted, and pampered by cousin Obama, our non-president.
Maggiepie, I wish the fools in Congress would remove the imposter, a dangerous, evil gangster.
Debrakcarey, I have prayed and prayed for God to change this monster's heart to no avail. I have prayed for God to heal our land, but, why should He, when we constantly thumb our collective nose at him? Most of America remains complacent and apathetic, sure signs of the end of any civilization, even historically, nevermind what is happening spiritually.

And our not so camera shy president had very little to say about the death of 13 service personel at the hand of a Muslim whom the CIA knew to be trying to contact Al Queda. THEY KNEW....and did nothing. I thought the Patriot Act was supposed to ensure that government agencies communicated more effectively?

I am a tolerant person...I believe that love does indeed conquer all. I praise the efforts of the Muslim community who are collecting money in support of the victim's families. I don't agree with the hatred of white supremists groups who are preaching hatred because of this atrocity...but when will our government get off their Politically Correct a$$e$ and protect us? They'd rather make US feel guilty for being Americans. And charge us higher taxes for the privilege of living under their tyranny.

I was talking about this last night and my eldest son said something that makes sense.

He said that since the CIA and FBI had this man on their radar, had read his blogs sympathizing with suicide bombers, and knew he was asking to be released from his military duties...along with the fact that he changed his name from an anglo American name to an Islamic one...and still did nothing to stop him, they probably were waiting for him to go postal...to strike FEAR into America once again. Remember how we submitted to the very unconstitutional Patriot Act after 9/11 with hardly a whimper? Or perhaps they are hoping we'll quit supporting the military? Or perhaps hoping that we'll accept more stringent laws concerning guns? They knew and did nothing....and that is NOT to be dismissed lightly.

I don't know if this is true. But it seems prossible to me. It also seems possible that our military has been prevented from doing it's job, not just by the current president, but by past presidents of both parties. Internal affairs couldn't have missed this...nor should the FBI or CIA have let it slide. My first thought is WHY? Knowing this man's leanings...seeing what he was going through...and having the 'Patriot Act' there in place, supposedly to use to protect us, why did they do nothing? I am not even going to venture a guess as to whether he was in contact with Al Queda...it is rumored he was. There is something real fishy going on when our government allows these kinds of things to happen. Does anyone remember the other shooting, American soldier against his fellow soldiers? I believe it was overseas. Something is UP...and we are once again being lied to by omission and commission.

Debra, update alert: the Ft. Hood terrorist killed 14 people. One of the soldiers killed was pregnant. Just because the terrorist probably didn't know she was doesn't make it any less wrong. I seriously doubt it would have given this hate-filled man pause, in any case.

I've seen prayer instantly change things for the better. I also know that even God has His limits when it comes to people who insist on behaving badly. There comes a point when God ignores their prayers, so the bible says.

I pray there are those sort of people on whose behalf Abraham bargained with God living here. Atheist don't realize it, but they owe every moment of their lives to folks who pray for them. Well, actually they owe God for His grace, mercy, & looooong patience.

As do we all, as I don't known perfect people. Well, not still breathing, anyway.

Now, sorry I got distracted--I meant to tell you this earlier, but please keep us posted on your son's health. I'm sorry you & he are going through this. But prayers are arising. Be at peace in your heart & mind, hun. You are always right to trust God. May He hold you in the palm of His hand.

In Christ's name,

debrakcarey, I hope you can forgive me, as I am remiss in responding directly to this posting re what really matters re your son and all of us as we are not prepared to meet our maker. I am deeply moved by your posting and your discernment. IIChronicles, 7:14 is uppermost here, "if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked ways, and seek my face, then I will hear from heaven and I will heal their land..." Yes, personally and collectively we are responsible to submit ourselves. My friend reminded me that a remnant may be saved. For some, it is impossible to untangle the political from the personal and the morality of our current trials, but to seekers of truth and justice, God reveals His secrets.

I wondered when someone would attempt to make a connection between Obama and this tragedy in Texas and as always I'm never surprised by what gets posted here. If ANYONE is to blame for what went down the other day it's not the President but the military personnel on that base and elsewhere who knew that there was something wrong with this man. And, just for the record, the president's public appearance had been previously scheduled and was unrelated to the events that took place at Ft. Hood but he did take the time to comment about it. His remarks were limited, as they should have been, as information was still coming in at that time. Feel free to continue to hide under your bed.

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,389 in politics  1 month ago

With all due respect...may you also continue to hide your head in the sand like an ostrich. I don't think anyone said Obama is at fault for this....and why should his remarks be limited? They weren't limited when he implied a decent cop was a racist? His remarks are not limited when an abortionists gets killed in church. The CIA knew this man was dangerous...and yet even though we, as Americans, were assured that the Patriot Act was there to keep us safe...ensuring that things like this would be found out before people died...even though WE gave up rights and liberties promised us by the Bill of Rights and Constitution, to BE SAFER...we are NOT. Was this man a terrorist? He tried to contact Al Queda according to reports that the CIA had. If he wasn't a terrorist...he is NOW. Was it sad and unnecessary that he may have been harrassed by his fellow soldiers..YES. Should we hate all Muslims...NO. But we do need to WAKE UP and admit that we are in danger...and our government is helpless or ineffective to protect us. And should the president of America address this...YES! His silence does speak volumes.

myLot reputation of 79/100. spalladino (9043)   ranked 174 out of 6,389 in politics  1 month ago

First of all, Deb, I'm glad your son is okay.

Secondly, the discussion I responded to attempted to connect the dots from Obama directly to this event which is an unreasonable connection to make. As I said, when Obama spoke publicly, information was still coming in. In the cases you cited, it was not. Do you believe that the CIA should run out and round up everyone they suspect of being dangerous or would it be more prudent to keep tabs on them and then bust a terror plot before it's executed...as has happened in the past both here and overseas? This man is obviously emotionally disturbed and was likely not part of a terror plot since he acted alone and his actions that prior to the event were that of someone not planning to live out the day. No one can predict the actions of an unstable person acting alone BUT those who knew he was unstable should have done more to help him before it came to the end that it did. This was not just about religious beliefs.

We've been unsafe in this country for many years, Deb, and it's not just from muslim extremists. In fact, tomorrow is a very happy day for me...one I've looked forward to for 7 years. Tomorrow John Muhammad, the D.C. sniper who murdered 10 innocent people and who forced all of us who lived and worked in Maryland, D.C. and Virginia to live in fear, will be executed. He was a terrorist as well but not because of his religious beliefs. He was simply a hateful, angry man. I don't agree with you that our government is helpless or ineffective when it comes to protecting us. Has there been a repeat of the events of 9/11 or anything close to it?

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,389 in politics  1 month ago

Thank you for your well wishes. I feel bad now for calling you an ostrich. wink happySam is on the road to recovery...it will take a while but he is doing well. Thank you for your concern. happy

But the fact remains...we are NOT safer. We are just not told what is going on.

My oldest son just voiced his opinion on this to me...he said:

The government is looking for another reason to take away some more of our rights...this thing scared people and people are going to do stupid things because of it. That means the government will feel justified in clamping down some more.

They knew spalladino...THEY KNEW and did nothing to stop him. He changed his name from and anglo name to a Islamic name, he blogged about supporting suicide bombers and they DID NOTHING! He himself asked for removal from the military...and THEY DID NOTHING! Why does that not alarm you? Why do you still trust the government and all it's 'power'? Add everything up that you have read from just me, not to mention everyone else....bad stuff is going on. And the government is at the head of most of it...or complacent to it in the very least. Please wake up!

myLot reputation of 79/100. spalladino (9043)   ranked 174 out of 6,389 in politics  1 month ago

Don't feel bad for calling me an ostrich...I've been called worse! lollol If I was thinned skinned I'd stay out of Politics and keep my views to myself.

I agree that the CIA had information about this man prior to the attack at Ft. Hood but the authorities can't go around locking up every person who changes his name, blogs about supporting suicide bombers or even tries to contact Al-Queda. How would plots against this and other countries be uncovered and stopped if suspects were locked up before there was evidence of a real conspiracy or crime....and imagine the public outrage. That would be as bad as the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII. There are also people in the military who will make claims that are untrue in order to get out of going into a war zone...always have been...so, no, it does not alarm me that this man was not locked up or released from duty prior to the shootings because, until then, he had done nothing illegal. I do believe that his mental state should have been looked at more closely because he obviously is mentally ill...not part of a terrorist group, but mentally ill.

Did you hear about the man who went to the offices of his former employer in Orlando the other day and shot up the place? What's the difference between him and the shooter at Ft. Hood if you take the muslim factor out of the equation? Nothing. Both men killed and wounded innocent people. Both men had "reasons". Both men are obviously unstable.

And no, Deb, I don't think that you're a nutcase or unpatriotic at all. I know that you're caring and compassionate, too. We just see things differently.
This is a very stressful time for our military personnel and it's the military who has the primary responsibility for being aware of the mental state of those under their command. It's their responsibility to address concerns about someone's mental state. Someone should have followed up on this man. The fact that they didn't doesn't automatically mean that our government is conspiring to clamp down on the rights of the rest of us. Believe me, there are terrorists groups working on plans all over the world right now but I am confident, based on past performance, that the governments of the countries involved are watching them and waiting until the time is right to apprehend them. Meanwhile, they are gathering information, not only on the people directly involved, but also on others as well. This is how you stop them...you make it impossible for them to win. I love my country, too, but I refuse to live in fear of my government or of people of a certain faith.

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,389 in politics  1 month ago

I have heard the internment of the Japanese Americans cited often lately. To be sure it was a very unConstitutional thing and an awful experience in our past. Do you know that some of those interred actually understood and did not get angry at the government for doing what they 'thought best'. I have read accounts saying just that very thing. It made me proud to call them fellow Americans. (Not that I condone the internment, just another perspective)

No, we can't go around rounding up all who change their name, or blog about their political views...God Forbid! But looking at ALL of the signs should have clued them in on his dangerous instability. The man was sympathetic to strapping bombs on children and blowing them up for goodness sake! Locking him up? At least take him out of active duty, where he had stress and the opportunity to act on his hostility and stress. And ANYONE who tries to contact Al Queda SHOULD be locked up. How can you say any different? I'm not trained in such things, and I can think that far ahead. We are more concerned with Political Correctness...than saving lives or of even getting this man the help he needed, if indeed this was just a case of mental instability. I agree, it is a thin line we must walk...not over reacting to every display of Muslim faith....and keeping ourselves and those who depend on us for protection, safe. We ignore the marches and speeches across the world, saying Death to the West and Conversion by the Sword...and convince ourselves that Islam is just like anyother religion. It is not. There may be peaceful Muslims...like the former Cat Stevens (who was denied entry to US, btw) but there is also plenty who wish us dead and our way of life destroyed. Have you read the Quran? Along with love and peace...there is promise of paradise to those who kill the infidel. That's me and you, Spalladino...and their faith teaches them that whatever they do to make the entire world bow to Allah...is acceptable. EVEN LYING and KILLING. That's the FACTS. And it seems now, our President is more concerned with this Political Correctness...than saying and doing the right thing by these families and victims. It is the WHOLE picture Spalladino....his outrage about Dr. Tiller...his LACK of outrage when the recruiter and now these military personel are killed. Even leaders in Europe are speaking out this same concern...where's the empathy? Where's the outrage? When former President Bush can find the time to quietly go to them and speak words of encouragement...and President Obama can't and mentions this atrocity as a sideline while jesting with the audience....what do you expect the families and other Americans to think?

myLot reputation of 52/100. epicure35 (183)   ranked 505 out of 6,389 in politics  1 month ago

spalladino, I must agree completely with DebraKCarey in her assessment re Muslim ways of violence. Deb, you have done your homework. Obama is not "connected": he is the lynchpin by his attempts to destroy our nation through jihad. He flew Air Force One low in the NY skyline to frighten us and as a signal to his friends that he can do as he pleases with impunity. He is deliberately emboldening them and all our enemies; he declared this a Muslim nation. There is one thing even the dimmest and most gullible among us knows -OBAMA is a liar and deceiver.
To me, that means he is not to be trusted.
It is a fact that he refuses to protect our borders and is weakening our military and will not prosecute terrorists and is releasing them from Gitmo, an affront to families who died at their hands.
It is true that military and others should have reported this dangerous man, but, truth be told, people are now afraid to speak even the truth about Muslims, because they know they will be jumped on and called racist, the same ploy Soros and others used to keep America from dissenting against the horrific treason of Obama.
Americans were deceived into believing they should vote for a man because of his perceived color rather than his character. By playing on the collective guilt and fear of gullible people these haters manuevered an illegal alien into the unconstitutional position of leader of the "free" world, and so our demise has been almost accomplished at their hand.

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,389 in politics  1 month ago

Spalladino, I am not living in fear of anything. I do not fear Muslims. I do not fear Islam. I know my God and have faith He is able. This is about fear, nevertheless. The world has gone crazy with fear. Most of us would rather believe that there is no danger so we accept the politically correct way of viewing this. I see so called peaceful people in the streets of London carrying signs that read...You will see a REAL holocaust....or....behead those who disrespect Islam. THIS...from a group calling itself PEACEFUL! And then I hear almost daily of little boys and young men sent into markets with bombs strapped on them in the name of Allah. Women who brag about sacrificing their sons for Islam....and then see people call this a peaceful religion? I too, know Muslims who say this is NOT a true representation of their faith....I talk to them and ask them why they do not speak out and condemn those who do these things...and they tell me it is not permitted. I understand, they are people just like us. They have a right to live amongst us and to worship as they will....but evil is evil, it is not good and we need to stop calling it good! And to do and say the things I have read and seen coming from radical Islam is evil. I am not afraid to say so. And those who are.... are living in fear. Fear of rebuke, fear of retaliation, fear of being called intolerant.

Okay I am going to make a comparison just based on my feelings and my beliefs, because I happen to know a couple of muslims now that would never hurt anyone, and they have parents from Iran, they moved here between 8-13. No I do not see any connection from your Items, no more than I would ever connect some christans to other christans for those of their religion that create violent crimes to others. The killings at fort hood are a horrible tragedy, and no matter what the hell the killer declares himself, he is a killer. I suppose I will get political with you in my last statements, and point out that we have had a war going on for a long time before Obama. So yes, I think you are reaching, and taken the focus off of the real facts that no one can dispute: this was a mad man that killed so many brave, but innocent people.

myLot reputation of 52/100. epicure35 (183)   ranked 505 out of 6,389 in politics  1 month ago

Please note that NO ONE is indicting all Muslims here. The facts are that this particular Muslim was connected to 9/11, Al Quaeda, and was violent and hated America and its policies. He expressed this over and over and no one took action.
He shouted Allah Akbar at the time of the shootings and over and over expressed his hatred of US and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. None of us likes war, but we do not kill our soldiers because of our dislike. This was not just a single mad man, mad though he might be considered by those who do not kill, but the act of one who, by his ethos felt justified and righteous in harming "the infidel". If you check Atlasshrugs.com you will find detailed, though not MSM reported incidents of Muslim violence based on their beliefs re what they consider infidels. These are truly what can be called "hate crimes."
What is also frightening is that Islam is using the "race card" to call others racists if Muslims do not get preferential treatment. That is just wrong and is the base of the gambit that got Obama illegally into office so no one could dissent without being called racist. Obama calls himself a Muslim on youtube, yet denies it to Americans publicly and says he has not yet found the right Christian church in DC. I do not care what church or religion he espouses, but I do care that he is a liar and deceiver on all matters, especially refusing to prove who he is and how he got here.
We know he HATES America and he is DELIBERATELY emboldening our enemies, Muslim or otherwise.
I lived in London in the 70's and I remember the first Muslim threat while I was there and they threatened to blow up a hotel if they didn't get their way. It was awful. Now they are deeply entrenched in England, even to the point of Sharia law. I don't know how anyone can say that "honor killings" and maimings of even one's own family is not violence and is ever justified.

Ah, my favorite Dynamic Duo: Epicure & Debrak! thumbup

Again, you're right on the money. I know my Muslim friends are not part of that evil group, & I hope they aren't being lumped in with the terrorists by frightened folks, but I've been told they don't speak out for fear of being killed, & their families with them! I wish they weren't so afraid, but the fact is, they have good reason.

Mostly, I want to underscore what y'all said about "politically correct" people.

Stalin invented that term. PC was simply a survival tactic under "The Plowman's murderous reign" when, at one point, one-4th of Moscow thrown into prison, & hundreds of thousands of people starved to death. I think it was also he who called such as those in our country who were "PC" useful idiots, because they would help defeat their own countrymen. If not he, then another butcher there. Anyway, people who managed to survive will tell you: you were PC, or dead. Or wished you were.

Stalin meant, of course, that he & the rest of the Soviets would win. Yeah, he was wrong about that, but all he really had wrong was his timing. He was just born ahead of his time.

In my life I've watched our country go from being the freest nation on Earth to one on the brink of throwing away our safety, freedom & sovereignty to those who have engineered our downfall. And the PC movement has been their best tool for this catastrophe.
