There's no such thing as spending time when it comes to my kids. Why, just read on this story and know why:
While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground. "That's my son over there," she said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.
"He's a fine looking boy," the man said. "That's my son on the swing in the blue sweater." Then, looking at his watch, he called to his son. "What do you say we go, Todd?"
Todd pleaded, "Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes." The man nodded and Todd continued to swing to his heart's content.
Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his son. "Time to go now?"
Again Todd pleaded, "Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes." The man smiled and said, "Okay."
"My, you certainly are a patient father," the woman responded.
The man smiled and then said, "My older son Tommy was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with Tommy and now I'd give anything for just five more minutes with him. I've vowed not to make the same mistake with Todd.
"He thinks he has five more minutes to swing. The truth is . . . I get five more minutes to watch him play."

What a sad story, but a story that can teach us so much. Every minute that we have to spend with our children is an important minute in both our lives and in their lives.

Yeah, it's really a sad story. I always told myself, I have to do what I want to do before it's too late.
Some friends did complain to me, they've been spending too much time with the kids and hence they do not have time for themselves, and they have been so tired. I always think the time spending with the kids are really precious. Sometimes, I always told my friends, I really enjoy taking care of my son, looking at him, carrying him. Watching him every moment makes me feel so contented, and that's why I don't think taking care of my son is tiring. Some people said, mothers are great, as they sacrificed themselves for the kids. But I always think, I'm really grateful for having such a good and cute boy, as he makes me feel so contented as a mother, and I do not think I'm sacrificing myself at all.

I've been both a working mother during my mothering life and I've also been a stay-at-home mother. I know it is more difficult to spend time with your children when you are a working parent, however, I also know that when I was a working mother I dedicated almost every minute when I wasn't working to my daughter. On the weekend we would always take a family outing of some sort so we could spend time together. We would go hiking or to the park or even just for a walk together. It was good for us and that way we were able to spend quality time together as well.

how old are your children? i am also like you, but since 3 years, i started to leave office early and fetch them from school. i have realized that family is more important than work. of course, just be sure that all work is done at the office

I know meeting both ends to earn a living is very difficult for you for I am pretty sure that you are doing it for your kids future. But give it a try to manage your time so that you can spent time with your kids before you know it you already miss half of your life because you did not see them grow. I know you can do it just a little time management you need. Enjoy!
