What is your theory? I watched a fantastic documentary on crop circles a while back and it blew me away. It was made completely from a scientific viewpoint and explored some of the current theories that are out there such as wind patterns and man-made hoaxes. Both of those things have been misproven and it has also been noted that many of them contain codes and sequences that we can uncode.
Have any of you taken an interest in the crop circles phenomenon and do you have a theory?

Well, I don't believe in aliens, but the crop circles do make me very curious. That is one thing that really fascinates me because there are no clear cut or definite theories that can be proven. I'm sure sometimes people have gone to a lot of trouble to fake people out with crop circles, but some of them couldn't possibly be done so perfectly by men or women, could they?

It's been proven that a lot of them aren't man made. To make the impressions, the grass would break. The grass in most crop circles have been bent over, as in they haven't been touched by anything..except wind or energy.

i wonder sometimes if it's government jokesters playing with some tech on one of the satellites making designs and messing with people.
for all we know, they could be.
i tend to think government before alien.
but i find the patterns fascinating none the less.

I think most of them are either hoaxes or some weird natural phenomen. It exterrestrial could really travel faster than light to get here and have the advanced technology to get here, why in the world(or out of this world) would they waste their time making crop circles and if they were where they had landed, they certainly would be able to cover it up and leave no trace.

Why would they waste time making crop circles? Why wouldn't they cover up the evidence they were here?
Like I said, a lot of crop circles contain codes and other mathematical equations such as the Julia Set.

Since I believe in aliens I think the crop circles are being done by aliens during the nighttime. They may be codes that are left for certain people who understand what the codes within the crop circle means. I think its a good theory and I feel a good book could come of this.

My interest is yes and no for I don't know if I truly believe in them cause there have been so many scientific tests done on crop circles it's hard to believe that an alien ship actually performed the circle so it's difficult to grasp who done it type deal.
I think it's neat how they make pictures in the crops. I've seen some outstanding ones that humans cannot copy.
Great discussion.
