Sometimes the guys would watch a football game but the rest of us would usually play cards or some other type of game. My grandma was also a really good card player and loved to play cards. I enjoy playing cards too so I think I inherited that from her.
The Thanksgiving Day dinner torch as been passed to me and for the past 17 or so years I have been making Thanksgiving dinner at my house. We don't live near my extended family any more so the guests mainly consist of my parents, my husband's grandmother my brother in law and his kids, and sometimes my sister in law and her family but they kind of alternate between her's and her husband's family. We have had other visitors over the years but those are the people that come consistently.

Thanksgiving day is a day where in we can give thanks to God for all the things that He has done in the whole year. in the church we celebrate it by giving our birthday offerings to God, our thanksgiving offerings to God in kins or in cash as long as you give to God from the bottom of your heart and you know that it pleases God. we have also some presentations in every departments(womens, mens, youth, children, music0). there is also a testimony, dancing, singing and off course EATING....
