People here all start topics and expect others to give comments, but when i was reading a friend's topic upon which many mylotters had commented, it occured to me how should we exactly feedback those comments, i mean not all comments are really to the point, or not even be called 'excellent'.would it be called impolite if we leave them uncared? or would you just randomly go on with the commentors by writting down some words like 'thanks for your response'?

I usually respond to everyone who adds a comment to my discussion. This is highly recommended in myLot, and a way to encourage those people to respond to your future discussions. However, if the comment doesn't address or answer the discussion, and it appears he didn't read the discussion properly, I do not usually reply. It is highly unlikely he will return to the discussion anyway.

I hardly ever reply to responses unless they strike up an interesting point... such as I strongly agree or disagree with them. I don't think we should feel the need to respond to every comment we get. Not every comment we get has anything worth responding... if you know what I mean. I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep doing what you feel inclined to do, and I wouldn't worry about everyone else. Hope this didn't sound rude, but there's my opinion!

I try to answer all responses to a discussion. But you are right, some just have not responded by answering anything that was actually in my discussion. it's like they have not actually taken the time to read what I have written. Maybe they just read the first line real fast and type the first response that pops in their head. I would prefer if someone actually reads what I wrote before answering. :) Sometimes I do just ignore those responses. Because my first instinct would be to be sarcastic and as you say impolite by responding to them and saying that their response had nothing to do with what I asked.. lol- so If that is the case, I will often just leave it alone. Better safe than sorry. lol

thx, but well obviously so far i haven't been there yet, most times there'd be few responses to my topic, in which case i guess people wont' miss my passage by the inundated responses

well, firstly thanx bro, but in many cases it's not about offending someone, but about whether replying or no to some answers that totally means nothing.
