Kristina Clair, systems administrator for Indymedia.use received a subpoena from U.S. Attorney Tim Morrison in Indianapolis in January demanding the IP address of every person who visited the site on June 25, 2008. She was also instructed not to disclose the existence of this request unless authorized by the Assistant U.S. Attorney.
She went to the EEF. They said to her and told the attnory general that without a court order and subpeana that this order was illegal. They also said it was illegal for them to demand her silence about it.
Well a court order and a subpena were never filed for by the justice department.
You can read the full story here.. I only gave you an overview.

What do you think about the justice department illegally asking her for all her readers information and then trying to tell her she could not talk abou it. Why do you think they stopped answering her letters or the EEF's letters?
What should be done about it? How often do you think this happens? Just how much privacy can we expect online?
