importing songs from cd

I imported some music from a cd using itunes, but it did not show up on my ipod. The ipod was plugged in at the time and the songs should have transferred on to it, but it didn't happen. Does anybody know why it didn't work?

DId you try to shut the ipod down and then sync it again. I never have my ipod connected when I copy cds and have never had the problem.

Yeah, actually my roomate figured it out and took care of it for me. I'm technologically challenged, also I hadn't bothered to start the process from the beginning. It doesnt help that there really arent directions that come with the ipod.

In Itunes, if you just import songs from CDs, it will list them in your Music playlist(you may confirm that all the music in your CD are listed in), and you should sort them and make your Ipod synchronize with your itunes playlist (or your favorite list).
I means you may synchronize your Ipod in your specific playlist, not your total playlist, so when you synchronize again, there is no update in your specific playlist, so it's no update in your Ipod.
