Town Called Santa Claus

Hello, I know many of you are not from the states, but the ones who are, has anyone ever been to the town called Santa Claus, Indiana? I have been thinking of taking my son there this year and hope we can have a festive weekend, see all the lights, see the little museum there and the "special" post office and of course see and eat dinner with Santa. During the summer, they have a big amusement park and more activities but just thought this would be neat for my son and I and have that special weekend together. Is there something special in your area for the Christmas holiday?

I've never heard of Santa Claus Indiana, but when I lived in Colorado Springs, we'd go to the North Pole all the time. We could see Santa all year long!

Yes, this place you can also go to during the summer, they made it into a big amusement park. many say there is more to do during the summer than in the winter, but feel it would be more exciting for my son during the winter, then if things work out go again during summer.

I've never heard of that town but it sounds wonderful to spend Christmas in Santa Claus. I hope you end up taking your son their. There's no special area for the Christmas holiday where I live but there's a huge Christmas tree downtown that gets everyone in the Christmas mood. Early Happy Holidays to everyone.

I have heard of that town, it sounds like a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. We don't have anything that elaborate here. I live in a small city. But at Christmas our little downtown area is the most beautiful I've ever seen, and I've lived in big cities that went all out at Christmas.

i live in a rural community also and this will be a drive for me, but I feel it will be worth it in the end and always be a special memory for my son. I like to do things with him now that will be special because i know when he gets older he may not be into this type of thing.:( Though, I hope he will keep these memories and continue when he has a family as his own.

There will be yearly event for Christmas Carols at one of the resorts at my place. I didn't go last year, but sure this year I will mark my calendar. I only went to Christmas bazaar, which will also be held yearly and this year I will definitely be going as well. I love the idea of going to the Santa Claus town. I hope both of you and son will be having a fun and memorable moment. We don't have anything like that at my place, but I think everything is special during Christmas season. I love to go to all the shopping malls and feel the spirit with all the Christmas decorations and songs.

I really thought it would be neat to go also, it is a drive from where I live, but just the idea of it being called Santa Claus will be a treat and get us into the spirit of the holiday. I have been trying to find other things closer to home but not having any luck, but with small things. I also like to drive around and see all the houses decorated, especially at night. That sounds like fun, going caroling. I haven't seen anyone do that in quite awhile in my area. I hope you have fun and enjoy your day at that event.
