I joined it but haven't used it yet. I looked around and saw that the prices were better than what I've seen in stores, so I do want to use it, especially for heavier things like laundry detergent, etc. because of the free shipping. It would be so much easier than going out and lugging it home myself. I'm interested to see if anyone else has used it. But, even if they haven't, I will be using it soon. I just want to get some money first! I want to start using LifeLock again before I start shopping online again because I do worry about identity theft. Once I get money from disability (assuming it will EVER come), I'll sign up for LifeLock again then I'll try Alice. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hey, moon, I'm about to give it a shot. They sell the laundry detergent we use and, since it's quite heavy and I have so much trouble carrying anything that heavy, I'm set now to give it a go. I'll let you know how it goes. Have you tried it yet?

I have had a brief look at the site. They offer a comprehensive list of toiletries, cleaning products, personal hygiene goods and other stuff. Without signing up (which I'm reluctant to try to do because I'm not in the designated States of the US and can't pretend that I am!), it's difficult to say exactly how good their prices are, how secure their site is and what their minimum order is. If, when you do sign up and go to enter any sensitive information (such as credit card or any 'personally identifiable' information), the URL does NOT begin with 'https://', then exit fast. I suspect, however, that they DO use a secure site (that's what the 's' after 'http' stands for and that you CAN trust them with your credit/debit card details. They seem a very responsible (though new) site and I think that I would trust them to do what they say (read the Terms and Privacy Policy) and to have the mechanism to remove your details from their list if you want to do so. There are no hidden charges - they do point that out on the site and say that shipping is always entirely free (so the price you see is the price you pay) - but they do have a 'minimum order' (amount not stated in the FAQs), which is quite fair, I think! Why, after all, would you expect anyone to send you a 30 cent item free! The site encourages you to call them or email them with any other queries you may have ... I would certainly take advantage of that if you have any problems or doubts. They seem very open. One of the questions I would certainly want to ask is how they deal with State sales tax. It will only be possible to say whether they are cheaper or more convenient than your existing arrangements by knowing the actual prices in your local store, the cost of gas to get to it (and time taken), how often you shop and so on. I would advise that you give it a try and see if it brings a little organisation into your life or not, LOL. They only deal with household essentials and not food, so if you are reasonably fit, have no problem with space for the shopping and make regular (and scheduled) trips anyway, all you need to compare is the actual prices of the equivalent products that you regularly buy (and/or would substitute). If they are cheaper by a few dollars and especially if they are going to save you a trip once in a few months, then they are probably worth considering.

Oh, the other thing that everyone forgets to mention is ... are you able to be home to accept delivery? That's something else that's not immediately apparent on site ... what method do they use for shipping (USPS - God forbid!, UPS, DHL or something else or their own?)? is it trackable? can you specify a delivery time (within a few hours)? &c. &c.

im disabled so i am always stuck at home so being home when it comes wont be a problem and since i never really have a car if its a legit thing then i would at least get to narrow down my shopping list for when i do have the car (maybe 1 day a week which is a huge hassle)

this is a great question and im reading all the responses. i never heard of Alice.com but it might be something good to look in to. i know when son gf was here we did some stock up shopping at costco the store but not online. that was pretty good. but you have a yearly fee with that and have to go to the store. this sounds better to just order it without a yearly fee or gas to buy. hope we can find out more about it here. thanks.

I haven't heard of them - I think this is something I should look into.. especially now that I am flat broke :) I do use BigCrumbs for saving at most of my other online sites. But I never really thought of grocery shopping online. If shipping is free and they are cheaper this might be the way to go. I never realized you could get that other stuff at amazon either.. I buy a few things there but it's usually, like books or dvd's or stuff for my electronics -never thought about detergent. I will check this one out- thanks! :)

yeah amazon sells everything in bulk though.. i mean huge boxes of stuff or multiple boxes of regular size but as long as its amazon that is selling it and not another store you can get free shipping if you spend 25 dollars which is easy when buying in bulk..
