Man I have been in the Holiday sprit for weeks now. I have just about finished decorating my house inside and outside already. Lights are on nightly outside as is my tree inside. This little photo is of a ceramic Santa and a bench I found at seperate garage sales years ago. I absolutely love this setup. It is so adorable looking. I think I paid maybe $2 for them both or less. Do you have any garage sale items for holiday decorations you use each year? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I do not have any Christmas decor that comes to mind that was from a yard sale--no, wait a minute, I have things from thrift shops. I have a wooden nativity cut out. I also have a wooden barn plaque that says "flake collector" and has a snowman on it. I like snowman themed items as you can leave them up until the sun shines.

Thrift shops, dollar stores, garage sales, all the same in my eyes. I like "Flake Collector". Thanks for sharing. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I dont have garage sales for anything. My parents will be having one in the next 2 months. Im thinking of adding my unwanted items to their garage sale. We have a big collection of kids games, jigsaw puzzles, books & clothes. You have motivated me with all this christmas discussion. I may not have time this weekend, but after my daughters exams Im going to start with the tree.

Christmas and bargain hunting go hand in hand! I can't say we have gone the garage sale route, yet. But we do wait for the after Christmas sales each year. That is when we stock up for the following year.

Hey Grandpa Bob! I have never met anyone that is so into Christmas as you and your family! I guess that's why my adoption was so important! You just go above and beyond! You have a whole "Santa's workshop" thing going on! And you have the perfect house for it too! It is always the most perfect Christmas setting and I know when the snow comes how beautiful it will look because I can remember it from last year and man was I ever jealous! You are the perfect "Santa's Helper" for sure! And when do you start wearing the "hat"? I can't believe that a whole year has gone by already! I remember so clearly you in that Santa's hat wearing it wherever you went! I really wish I was going to be with you and your family for Christmas!
