I looked a bit arround and I was surprised not to find a discussion on this TV-show. I personally enjoy it a lot. Though I understand from friends who are doctors that is pretty far-fetched as medicine practice, the plot is interesting. And the characters fabulous.Especially Dr. House. Maybe it is so because we know such a character could never exist in real world, or maybe we find a little of him in all of us. I personally love his sarcasm and his childish way of imposing his will. He's stuborn and curious like a little kid, but also intelligent and excentric, always managing to "fix" the pacient. A very apealling combination...but only in the movies as they say. So my questions are, to those who watch the show: Do you like Dr House? Do you think he could be real or wish he would? How would you feel if you were in the hands of a doctor who they say is never wrong?

What amazes me is that Hugh Laurie used to do comedy. In the Black Adder series he usually played a prince or a royal who was an idiot. Rowan Atkinson (Black Adder) was always the sarcastic one. I always wach the show but I used to hope that if I ever wound up as one of house's patients that somebody would shoot me. His character is changing now thathe's out of rehab and off vicodin.

Well the show has it's own sense of humor. In this case, sarcasm. And I think it suits him perfectly. I think what makes Hugh such a good actor in this role (and not only) is his face flexibility. The man has a thousand faces and cand shift them instantly. This mobility makes him the ideal candidate for both humorous and sarcastic characters. Come to think oh it...sarcasm is a form of humour. Black one, but still humour. As for him changing because he's off vicodin..Hmm I can't exactly figure out which season you're reffering too, because that happend in season 3 out of 6. Personally I just started the 4-th one, so..no spoilers, please!

We're on season 6 here, so all I'll tell you is to expect a lot of things to happen to all of the characters over the next few seasons.

Yes!! I've watched this series from the start, and I could say that I really liked it. Actually, Dr. House became my crush and I thought that maybe it was weird. I even became a fan of him in facebook, and there I found girls who were also admiring him. It's a fun show to watch, entertaining, and also somehow informative. It's one of the coolest series I've watched.

Thanks for sharing your opinion regarding the show, fake_you! I never had the curiosity to search for a group on facebook, but I'm glad you told us about it. Now more House fans can rapidly exchange opinions in this matter, especially since the show gets more and more depth with each season. I'd like to ask you what you think about his relationship with Cuddy, though since you;re such a big fan. Do you think they are a good match?

I love the show and as a viewer I find house to be very entertaining. As a doctor however, I would probably find him insulting and he would probably make me angry. But I guess if I had an incurable disease or no one else could figure out what was wrong with me he would be the doctor I would want. Honestly though I don't know how he gets away without being punched a lot of the time.

I love that show!! I started watching the show when it was in its fourth season. And now I'm just addicted to it. It's a really great show to watch. My husband and I really enjoy watching it. We're always tuning in each week to see what's going to happen. It's just really interesting to watch.

Yeah i like the show. I agree with you than Dr House isnt a credible character in a way. But maybe that is what makes him so great. His attitude towards others is plain mean, but you just cant dislike him.

I love greg house MD and i want other doctors to be that way! these are the kind of savant doctors who should be running the health programs of a country! LOL i would find it very interesting to see how much criticism such a person could take from colleagues.

He or she would not only be criticised, but probably stopped from doing their job the way they think. A normal hospital dorector would have to be insane to put up with what poor Cuddy has!! In real life i think no one can blindly trust a person like they all trust House..no matter how many pacients he cured. And that's a pitty! By the way, what I found very interesting about this show is that it focuses on a subject no other medical show focused on : diagnostic. I think it's the hardest and most important part of medicine. To cure something, you must first know the disease. Most of the medical themed TV shows focus on surgens, rescue and special operations teams because it makes the show spectacular. Having the main theme the diagnose part is House Md's strongest point. It makes the show a huge puzzle that unfolds in front of you. Kind of like CSI a bit. Don't you think so?
