Are you on birth control? What do you think about the morning after pill?

Do you think the morning after pill should be legal in all cases or just some cases (examples...)
Do you think that some mothers who are reckless and have had many kids that they don't take care of (in foster care, etc) should be forced to have their tubes tied or to go on birth control to reduce the number of abandoned children in the world?

Thanks, Rusty. I hope you know that when I counter your ideas, I am not arguing with you, or saying what you think is wrong, I am only debating the discussion and trying to keep it lively, no personal negativity implied.

That is what I am doing as well. No worries here. I like a good debate. I believe a good debate....both parties can learn something from it.

Cool, I'm going to put you on my friend's list (if you don't mind). I wouldn't mind actually DISCUSSING something on Mylot for once, something besides how old I am, my dog's name, and what color my eyes are, ha ha. :)

I have been on birth control for years now. I think the morning after pill is fine for those who don't want to have a baby...but then protection should always be used. I think that there should be birth control etc...for many mothers who don't care for thier children. The world is full of kids that have parents who don't care..that is why we have such a society....

If you can't remember to take pills you should get on Depo, it's like 4 shots a year.

Birth control is great. But what about the women where birth conrol doesn't work on. Should they be forced to have kids when they don't want them? I think they would be a prime canidate for the morning after pill. and espically for the ones who forget to take pills.

I had my tubes tied after my last child. So no birth control here.
I think the morning after pill is a good idea. I think it should be made readily available and easy to obtain. I think it would help reduce the amounts of teenage pregnancies, unwanted children, babies that are killed right after birth or just thrown away in the trash. I also think it would reduce the amount of children being abused. If the morning after pill was available..than those who wish to not get pregnant, would not. Than they could not harm a child they did not have. How times have we heard of a horror story of a child being told they were never wanted from they day were born being horrible abused and neglected? To many in my opinion. I really think the morning after pill could make a big difference.

I think the morning after pill should be used, too. I think there should be limits on it, though, and I think strict laws should be made about pregnancies, for ex: I know this girl who has had 3, maybe 4 children and they are all in foster care, she gets pregnant literally every 9 months and refuses to take birth control, I've even offered to drive her to the free clinic. Instead she lets welfare pay for her children and for the hospital bills. I think the courts should force her to have her tubes tied, to prevent more babies who are unwanted.

I think the morning after pill is just absolutely fabulous. I haven't used any yet, but I like having them and knowing I can.

I am glad it is there. If anything were to happen and I would get attacked, I'd like to know I'd have an option. I am on birth control, but still, there needs to be emergency contraception for those emergencies that occur.

To be frank birth control is a good one. It develops not only reduce in abandon children but it develops nation's economic prospects more. The more the people gets comforts gone very costly or rare. So it is every one resonsibility is to control birth rate. For that day or night ........is not the criteria. That is different. Whenever we need it we can have it as mutual understanding.
