Hi friend, I think you are right!Everyone is cooking. At least, everyone from the US. We don´t celebrate Thanksgiving in my country. But we have a holiday on October 12, when Christopher Columbus rewached America. WE don´t get together, it´s just a Holiday. We have our National Day with many feasts and also many religious Holidays. Have a nice day. (no turkey for you or for me though)

You are right. Friendship is a lot more important than many things. As for turkey, I´m not specially fond of it. I think what I like about a roasted turkey is that the few times I´ve made it (long time ago, for Christmas) I ate mostly the stuffing. But I cook food like a turkey´s stuffing many times now that I live alone. It is mostly rice, vegetables, fried onions, spices and apples.

We don't have it over here either but it's my day off (for this week) so I'm here. It is much slower but that means I can catch up Oh a friend from US sent a turkey - and I stuck it in my profile LOL

Good morning (for me) Baluyadav! I too have noticed that there really haven't been too many Thanksgiving discussions. For many people here, it is not much of a holiday anymore. Schools and government offices are all closed, but restaurants and stores are mostly all open. It's not holiday at all for those who have to work. For those who do have it off, cooking and eating are the big events of the day, I've got the Macy's Thanksgiving parade on the tv while I'm getting our turkey ready to cook. My son and step-daughter are both home today, so it will be a nice dinner. With everyone's busy schedules we aren't here all at once very often. Every country has wonderful holidays and customs associated with it. What is your favorite holiday?

Yeah, I observe it as thanksgiving day is celebrate mostly by American and European every fourth Thursday week of November. I remember they always have turkey as their main dish though in my country it is not a practice.
